We booked for holiday weekend and they were accommodating to our pet (cat) allergies and baby. Our suite was clean and quiet. The establishment was conveniently close to supermarket, gas station, and restaurants. The aquarium and other tourist attractions were about 10-15 min drive.

It’s pretty good. We stayed here for two nights. Very reasonable price ard $90 including tax and service fee per night during weekdays. But the bathroom can be cleaned more mindfully, there were some molds on the wall n in the bathtub.

Clean room, everything I needed, staying alone. Bought my own keurig style coffees for the coffee maker, half and half for the refrigerator, then I was all set for mornings! Quiet at night and good cable TV service. Room was cleaned daily, with new towels. Close to Monterey Jazz festival which I walked to daily. Great location.

When was the last time you were delighted? Did the donut shop actually give you 13 when you ordered a dozen. Did the bartender leave the shaker after an already healthy pour? Whatever it may have been, nothing delights me more than getting much more than expected.
Ergo, The Pacific Inn in Monterey California.
Now, my wife and I have stayed in Monterey about a dozen times and have never stayed in the same place twice. We have tried the low end and the high end. The low end has pretty much been what was expected. The high end has always been a disappointment thinking that this room that we just spent

It still gets a 1 star rating BUT they were gracious enough to refund all of the pet fees I paid bc I had my dog "registered" as a companion animal.

Had a really great experience here. Our room was recently renovated and remodeled, was very spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and kind. The rooms were SO clean. My only complaint was that our WiFi connection wasn’t good but it is free WiFi so you can’t complain too much. Great location and breakfast at grandma’s next door was delicious! Oh and it was a quiet inn. No noisy neighbors which was nice! Definitely would stay there again.

To be honest I was apprehensive when booking because I tend to stay in nice Airbnb's and hotels but Monterey had very limited affordable options. To my pleasant surprise it was an incredible stay! Our room was newly remodeled, everything was very clean, had great turn down service and the owners were friendly. My only complaints is that the WiFi connection was very spotty so I wouldn't choose this spot to work from remotely. There was parking available , it was quiet all things considering , and had some great food spots nearby.

Bus line right out front announcing it's destinations, it faces a major street with loud cars all night, airplanes flying low overhead, thin walls resulting in hearing everything. The staff were nice and the room was clean. The enclosed dog area was convenient.

A nice room for a decent price comparatively.
Pros: Clean, spacious room. Updated bathrooms look really nice. Keurig in room with free pods every day. Friendly staff. Perfect location and proximity to tourist attractions.
Cons: Lots of noise from street and upstairs (if you get a downstairs room). Shower runs slow. Some cracked paint in room 102. Room key stopped working every day at 3pm. Staff helped replace it but it became annoying. TV does not have most premium channels and small for room size. Full size toiletries already in bathroom. Would prefer mini sized ones for each guest to prevent

I really liked the location of this hotel. Near lots of shopping stores and restaurants. The beach is a 3 minute drive! Very close. The hotel room itself was nice and mostly clean. The floor looked clean but it was pretty dirty. For the price of stay and location, I definitely think it is worth it. Overall I recommend!

Nothing cozy about this place. Even if you look at it from the standpoint of a clean bed/ place to sleep, people are checking in at all hours of the night and are stomping around above you if you are on the ground floor. Telephones in the room disconnected. The air only stays on for a few minutes at a time. Barely got any sleep and the location was terrible. Wish I had paid a little more for a nicer spot. Lesson learned!

This hotel had dirty walls and a smoking smell that did not go away even after we brought Febreze which we bought from 7-Eleven. The hostess was not able to move us to another room and told us no one was available to clean the rooms until an hour. We drove two hours already and we wanted to rest and go out to eat dinner. The TV looked cheap with a line in the middle of the display. The shower has a weak pressure and you can hear all the plumbing pipes all night when someone flushed. There is not enough parking spaces and it seems shady people come here to party which we noticed walking from

Stayed here for 2 nights for a little getaway with my boyfriend and our dog. For starters, the place was extremely clean. Was watching the maid staff clean every door and wall from top to bottom so we felt super safe here. There was a small turf area for dogs, which was also kept very clean as well. Check in/ check out was super simple and quick, there was a key drop off for check out which made it all a breeze. Wifi was decent, lots of tv channels, nice sized rooms, and plenty of take out options around! Only about a 10 minute drive from Monterey's tourist attractions such as Fisherman&apos

Parking is free but somewhat limited, and the parking lot is quite uneven in certain places.

Check-in was straightforward. Staff was wearing proper PPE.

Our room was clean. The bed was comfortable and clean. I liked that the bathrooms had dispensers for the shampoo, conditioner, etc. already situated in the shower. The wifi is ok, but youtube videos are only still able to load in 240 to 360p. The desk is a bit small, but the room itself is large.

My girlfriend and went on a road trip on the coast from Long Beach. Decided to call it a night at The Pacific Inn. Extremely glad we did. Excellent room price, food location, and formerly staff. The bathroom was also incredible for the size of the room. We will be back!

I will admit I was a bit nervous booking a "budget" hotel for an overnight stay in Monterey. I travel a lot and typically use high quality hotels where I have status. However, I wanted to bring my dog on this trip and the pet fee at Hyatt and many others in the area would cost MORE than my room here. Ridiculous!
I chose this hotel because of the photos online; I could see it had been recently remodeled. When I arrived in the area, I got nervous again as it is located in a proverbial stripmall of scary hotels. After pulling in, I realized they had covered over the pool and made it a green

LOCALS BEWARE!!! There is a $200 CASH fee for locals "due to past experiences." They don't state this anywhere on the booking apps when other motel/hotels do. There is no sign in the lobby stating this policy either. We were asked to go to a bank and get $200 cash to put on hold at the front desk that would be returned to us upon check out.

Aside from the shady business at the front desk the motel was clean, the bathroom REEKED of bleach and aside from the thin walls and firm bed everything was fine.

I will never return and will be warning friends who are visiting the area to

Paid $236 on a Friday for a glorified Motel 6 with paper thin walls - just glad people were R rated and not fighting/cursing.

Wish I stayed at Motel 6, paid much more for same quality decor but with a fridge and toiletries.
Includes parking lot because not much available by your room which with kids/bags might as well stay at Motel 6 for same experience but much cheaper.

I remember staying here back in 2012 or 2013 when it was Ramona Best Western.

Well, my dad booked it after our discussion on a good motel at a good price.

All remodeled in about 2014 or 2015 when it was purchased. It became the Pacific Inn.

Nice sheets, pretty good bed for comfort. They had plantation shutters, keurig coffeemaker, microwave, mini fridge, an lcd small tv and many outlets. Nice bathroom with a remodeled shower with body gel/shampoo/conditioner all Papa brand and in pumps. This saves them money in the long run.

We stayed here for 2 nights on Wednesday $80 and Thursday $100.
