Mike Mullen is a full-time NYS licensed and ASHI certified home inspector. Homes don't "pass" or "fail" a home inspection. Every home may have significant good qualities, along with potential problems. We identify and explain these issues in the written report, and comment further on how to resolve them. Depending on the situation, we may provide references for additional information.
We are committed to keeping the same reasonable pricing that our customers have always appreciated. We use a sliding-scale fee structure that is determined by the square footage of the home. The average home inspection of a home under 2500 square feet is between $300 and $350. A "50/50" rule may apply to certain home inspections.
The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) suggests that you ask your potential home inspector the following ten questions. I have provided my answers below, and will gladly answer any additional questions you may have. My inspections and inspection reports meet and exceed the requirements for both New York State and the American Society of Home Inspectors Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
