A professional home inspection will cover heating and air conditioning, roofing, flashing details, wiring and the service panel, plumbing, structure and foundation, exterior grading and literally hundreds of other components and systems that make up the average home. Some items, such as doors, windows, lights, and electrical receptacles are examined by inspecting a representative random sampling.
A home inspection is an extremely important step in the house buying process. A complete, uncompromising evaluation of the house can provide the buyer with insight into any safety, structural or mechanical issues and an assessment of future expenses that may be necessary after purchase. Education for the buyer is the first step to making an informed decision.
I am terrible at self-promotion. Really. I hardly ever carry business cards, I do not market to agents and no matter what I type about my experience, my accreditations or my ethics, it rings hollow because, well, I typed it about myself. Chad put together a very interesting course with information I never got from CEU classes over the past 14 years. He knows his electrical's and how to present it. He kept our attention throughout even over talkers during class time. Still thinking about all the info we discussed. It was worth every bit of driving and lodging. Not to mention some of the best Barbecue I've had in years. Whatever you think you know, you'll learn more. Rick

Structure Smart Home Inspections is the most thorough home inspection company that I have ever used. Structure Smart will absolutely be my first choice in the future! Chad Fabry and StructureSmart saved us from a huge mistake. We were looking at buying a lovely stucco home, but Chad was able to discover serious issues that were under the stucco and invisible to us. He even was able to show us some spots where the home owners had taken extra effort to conceal damage. I can't overstate how grateful we are to Chad and StructureSmart from saving us from what most likely would have been a financial disaster. We were gung-ho on this house until Chad convinced us we had blinders on, and he was right! He knows his stuff. You'll be in very capable hands.

Chad is a thorough and professional home inspector with a broad knowledge of historic building techniques. He was the only home inspector recommended to me by Steve Jordan (former editor for Old House Journal, and author of the Window Sash Bible) and for good reason. His report in 2014 was fantastic and he was ready and willing to answer any of my questions while on site.
