Shivery Funeral Home, Inc, is committed to the communities where we live, work and worship. Steve and Jewell have strived to instill these same principals into the next generation. The following are ministries and organizations where we volunteer and/or support. We would encourage you to also think about where you can give back to YOUR community.
A - Almost all funeral homes offer cremation services including us. Cremation and burial are both considered the final disposition and all other services are available with either option including a viewing and church service before the cremation. A - By taking the time to attend the viewing, you speak volumes without saying a word.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
When families come together to plan for the last parent's funeral service, it can either be a time of drawing them closer or creating an even greater wedge between the siblings. Emotions are high and feelings are easily hurt. When we sit down with surviving children and tell them Mom or Dad already planned for their funeral, then they can just focus on shared memories and on grieving together.

I want to thank the staff for helping me with my aunt. The staff is caring, personable, compassionate, just goes beyond their job. I'm very appreciative for them. Death is never easy to deal with but when you have a great Funeral home staff certainly helps. Definite recommend, 5 star facility.
