The original Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, located at 414 East King Street in downtown Lancaster, was opened in 1947 by its founder Charles F. Snyder. We recently stopped in without an appointment just to get some general information and pricing. My family is not ready to make an appointment to sit down and plan anything out at this time because it will make everything too real. My sister is battling addiction and we know that it is only a matter of time before services will be needed. Anyway not knowing what to expect we were greeted with a warm welcome and smile. The woman who was there, I believe her name was Charley, gave us a tour of the building and gave us information regarding your locations, services offered and what we could expect

I attended a remembrance service this past monday in honor of those who passed this year. I T was a beautiful, warm and caring service. Families were then given a beautiful crystal snowflake ornament with their loved ones name. I would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the Snyder family and their associates. Thank you for bringing us all together to celebrate and remember our loved ones. Caring, courtesy respect and compassion.

This was the worst funeral home I ever dealt with Norm he is so horrible he has no feelings whatsoever he is cold it is been six days and nobody in my family has even seen my brother that passed away All he wants is his money I get it it’s a business it is about money but you must have some kind of compassion for the family of the suicide victim horrible horrible horrible I would never ever recommend this funeral home to my dog let along my love ones Kroul in considerate cold that’s what Norm is 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I just left a viewing at Snyder's Millersville location and it was so beautiful and welcoming. The staff who greeted my mother and I were so helpful and informative. The Chapel was beautifully decorated and had wonderful flow for guests who were paying their condolences to the family. We had a wonderful experience as a guest.

On behalf of everyone on our family, we couldn't be more pleased with our recent experience with Snyder Funeral Home. Chad was our coordinator and from the moment we learned of our step mother's passing, he carefully and compassionately led our family through all of the steps and decisions that needed to be made. He and the rest of the Snyder team were extremely organized and all of the details were taken off of our hands which helped us to care for each other. The Snyder family is all hands on involved and you will sense how their family is here to take care of yours.
