Welcome to Lightshed Photography Studio - we specialize in portraits, baby and PR photography. Based out of Salem, MA, our award winning photographers are never far from your next special occasion! Dan spent the majority of his earlier years penciling mini-masterpieces and, unlike most photo success stories, did not receive a "hand-me-down" camera from his great grandfather at the ripe age of two.
Five years and two degrees later he re-located to the Boston area ready to tackle the industry. Specializing in commercial work and headshots, Dan can usually be found with a business professional or brand in front of his lens. Kendra grew up in a small town in Indiana where she tackled everything from ceramics and sculpture to painting and drawing.

We started with Easter photos several years ago and fell in love with Kendra’s beautiful photography... now three years later, we haven’t missed an opportunity since to capture these precious moments with our growing family! Kendra’s photos never disappoint, from maternity to newborn to holidays... and even professional headshots! We love working with her behind the camera, too. She has a natural ability to bring out the best with children, whether they are brand-new newborns, rambunctious toddlers, or curious kids. Working with Lightshed has really made it a joy to relive our family memories

I highly recommend Lightshed Photography for professional headshots. Dan was easy to work with and the quality of the photo was exactly what I was looking for. I needed a photo to accompany a podcast promotion and Dan fit me into his schedule and delivered the final product quickly. The studio is also worth mentioning. A great location and super setup.

Kendra is amazing we saw her for the first time two years ago for a photo shoot with my twin sons who were 4 at the time and my newborn daughter. She did an amazing job getting everyone in one beautiful picture. She was always kind no matter what chaos was ensuing. We saw her again this spring for some Easter photos and again she was able to catch a beautiful picture of my high-energy little friends. I cannot thank her enough for her patience and efforts to get the right picture. We will be back in the winter for a holiday picture!

Great company - you can’t go wrong. I’ve known Dan and Kendra for years and in addition to what you see in their portfolio, there’s so much more behind the scenes. Most photographers can put together a descent portfolio, but to continually produce with every client, every time - that takes something else. Lightshed produces consistently amazing work, and I was very happy they were able to do so for my wedding.
