Maybe I'm just spoiled having lived close to New York City four Chinese food as I cannot recommend this place and if I could give it less than one star I would. Spent just chi I'm $100 for a few different dishes I don't think anyone ate more than a couple bites. Never again. Going to try a place over in Franklin thatWMUR recommended that one time.

I spent $117 for food New Year's eve. Called and placed order on Thursday for pickup at 2:00 Friday to beat the rush. Got to front of line at 2:30 , went home and unpacked food and ate (tried to) immediately. The chicken fingers, crab rangoons, dumplings, and chicken teriyaki were legitimately inedible. They were so overcooked that even soaking in duck sauce was useless. The fried rice and Lomein were good. Clearly the appetizers were made many hours ahead of time! I called Saturday morning to speak with the owner who basically said I was lucky to get food at all on New Year's eve because

From the fresh ingredients to authentic touches, like tiger lily buds & black ear mushrooms in the hot & sour soup this is good as it gets in the lakes region.

I love this place! Very delicious food and the owners are super friendly! The food is always made fresh and the fried food is never greasy like other places in the area near the Outlets 😉. From the Wanton soup to the Chicken teriyaki sticks, you cant good wrong with this place. I literally pass 6 other Chinese Food restaurants just to go to China Garden. Best tasting and not the cheap pre-made food. If I was to pick anything apart, I would say the egg rolls. They taste like cabbage only. I wish they would add more pork, shrimp and ginger mixture because it would literally make them the best

Just moved back to the lakes Region from the Mid west.. parents used to take us here all the time, so me and the husband picked up an order , and it was still amazing, just as I recalled! We never in the mid west got this kind of food! Most places were horrible! Good to be back on the east coast!

Good food, lacks the crunch on the egg rolls and wings, also missing the well cooked teriyaki... the sweet and sour chicken meal was great.

My Mom and my sister had told me about this place years ago but I never went there . With Covid so many places have closed but not China Garden . We finally tried it and we are so glad we did . They have the best crab Rangoon's I have ever had . I thought they were expensive until I realize they give you a ton of them . They were so good we were fighting over them lol
Everything else we tried we lived too . The chicken fingers were also in my top three places to get them . Cannot wait to try more things next time we go .
We are moving to Gilford and guess where we will go the first night

Steel Wool and Sick Stomach:

China Garden was my preferred local Chinese restaurant but I've been convinced to look elsewhere. I have recently noticed that their egg rolls are predominantly stuffed with celery. I ordered sweet and sour chicken last night and received the sauce with no chicken. I had to go back to the restaurant to get the missing chicken while my family waited to have their Mother's Day meal. I was offered an apology but no effort was made to make up for the mistake or to compensate me for the inconvenience/hassle. I found strains of steel wool from a dish cleaning

It was my husband's birthday last night. We ordered take out. The veggie Lomain, tasted off. My husband and I got our normal, as well as a bunch of egg rolls chicken fingers, fried rice, short ribs, and chicken wings. We, all 6 of us are Incredibly sick today. Vomiting, diarrhea, nausea. Two of our r party ended hospital medical attention. So not worth it

Worst $110 take out order I have ever had! Absolutely no flavor - egg rolls had no pork, pork fried rice had literally 2 chunks of pork with no flavor and had no color (uncle's bens fried rice is gross but has more flavor), moo goo was i dont know what, pork chop suey-no flavor,...the only thing that wasn't messed up was the white rice!!! Called to express my complaint (been eating there for 48 years ) and got the run around ..they couldn't fathom that this was their problem!!! Not even a I'm sorry you didn't enjoy but basically oh well we are busy...so yeah , maybe you should change the name of

My daughter and I went in May for Mother's Day. I'd been many, many years ago. I was embarrassed. The food was not good and the looks we got from staff were totally unnecessary. Would not bother again.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE & $$$
the Pu-Pu Platter "for 3" didn't have as much as a regular Pu-Pu Platter for two at any other restaurant. The Crab Rangoon was tasteless. The General Gao's chicken was so soggy it was gross and it wasn't even the least bit spicy. The dumplings were mediocre and that's the best compliment I can give for the entire order. And all of that cost $85.00.

Would never recommend this place to anyone. If you go be prepared to pay dearly and be woefully underwhelmed.

My absolute standard for wonton soup broth, butterfly shrimp, subgum fried rice and hot mustard.

SERVICE. So i spent my first NYE here 53 years ago and my mom has been a patron for years before that - and we have definitely learned not to EXPECT great service. We kind of think of the service the same way we would a crazy great aunt that may be grumpy one day and stuff you with cookies the next. Its just part of the "charm."

FOOD. Some of the dishes are very different from any other chinese food that ive had, so if you are the type of patron that has a favorite Chinese dish and

My family was in the mood for Chinese, so we stopped here on a Saturday afternoon. There were not many cars in the parking lot and not a lot of customers in the restaurant. We stood by the hostess counter. And waited. And waited. And waited. Serving people walked by and pretended not to see us. We decided to use the time to look at the menu....found it to be extremely expensive, but we had enough time to figure out what everyone in our party wanted. I put the menu back on the counter and we continued to wait. Finally, we decided that the poor service (lack of acknowledgement that we were

In rural areas, you're lucky if you can find something that's even as good as *ugh** Panda Express, but this is the only restaurant in this area we've found that actually has true Chinese cuisine. The food is always fresh; we only get takeout orders, but they always ask when we think we'll pick it up, so that it doesn't sit and deteriorate. Of course that means they don't cook things in large quantities, then hope someone orders it. If you're used to big-city Asian food, this is the only one in the Laconia area that isn't grease-soaked, and lousy. We

Great food. The service is only Ok. Primarily because the management does not ever correct an error, and unreasonably upcharges for everything (box for take out, any substitution, etc). The food is always good

Food is always fresh, hot and good. Service is usually good. The only complaint is that they nickle and dime to death. There's the typical upcharge to substitute, but when we asked for an extra to go box we were charged 50 cents. That seems crazy considering that the prices are already higher than they should be

It's fine if you're not picky. Otherwise there's not much to get. They often run out of french fries or chicken tenders and the food isn't always fresh.
