Family Counseling Center
Our counselors work with all kinds of issues, including depression, anxiety, family conflict, parenting, abuse, and trauma. We see individuals, couples, families, and offer play therapy for children. Our staff includes licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and Marriage and Family Therapist Associates.

All of our counselors have the professional qualifications and life experience to help clients of all backgrounds. The Family Counseling Center has been serving Tehama County since 1965. Family Counseling Center (FCC) is a private nonprofit corporation. Although we are not a government entity, we frequently collaborate with government and community programs to provide the best care for our clients.
Services
The mission of the Family Counseling Center is to provide an affordable path for people to achieve life-long mental health. FCC has always offered counseling on a sliding fee scale to those who cannot afford regular rates and who do not have insurance. Approximately 60% of the clients we serve live at or below the federal poverty level.
We use principles and interventions from many evidence- based therapies such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Nurturing Parenting, and The Gottman Method. We are committed to helping our clients, so we have a variety of appointment times, including evening and Saturday appointments, as well as a handicap accessible satellite office.
Hillary Lindauer: Hillary Lindauer, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, is currently the Executive Director of the Family Counseling Center. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1988 with a Master's Degree in Counseling and obtained her California license in 1996. She has over 20 years experience working with families, individuals, and children.
