TERRIBLE experience. Brought my dog in to get seen as she was dragging her back end and yelling at home. She’s very high strung in me places so of course she was up walking off adrenaline. First off the vet tech cuts me off several times as I’m explaining what’s going on telling me it’s just arthritis. Second the vet comes in said the same thing… after I’ve explained she’s a previous cancer survivor and has got X-rays done twice a year and was free of all Arthritis hip knee and back problems. She then proceeded to tell me that I’d have to drop off

I have been coming to Independence for over 14 years and love the equine side and used to by happy with the small animal side, but it has changed..I had an emergency with my dog last Thursday at 4:20 p.m. and called to ask them if I could bring him in, didn't care if there was an emergency fee..The technician put me on hold and came back and said that they were closing at 5 and neither Dr. Bayer or the other vet working (11/4) were willing to stay past 5 p.m. or even look at him/help him, that I should check into taking him to an Emergency Clinic. I am so disappointed!

This good girl got her toe amputated today. I've been coming to Independence for over 10 years & I won't trust anyone else to care for my family! They always go above & beyond, make sure you know all your options, & treat you like you matter. My dog is always happy to go see her "friends" here. :)

Was looking for vet that was great for small animals! Scared of anesthesia have lost small ones to that previously so I was cautious on choosing the correct vet for my 10 yr old Lhasa-apso.They got me in immediately for emergency surgery! Also worked with me on FIANANCIAL help.truly care for animals.I usually feel uneasy leaving them, but I knew she was in great hands!She is fully recovered & I’m thankful for their great love 💕 of animals Awesome service, and kindness to us n my pooch!👍🏼🥰Highly Recommended!!!

I have had a wonderful experience at Independence Equine & Small Animal Clinic. When my basset had to have emergency surgery a couple of months ago they didn't hesitate to fit her in. They provided excellent care which I credit to saving her life. A couple of weeks ago we sadly lost our sweet beagle & they treated us both with so much compassion, dignity, & care. They lovingly made a paw imprint for our family & even sent a sympathy card. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know. They are wonderful people.
