Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. The older director was very insensitive when talking to my family members and myself with the situation we were going through. In addition to that he told us we needed to have the obituary and photo in by Wednesday but then informed us that it would not make the paper that week because we didn’t have it in by Monday morning so anyone that would want to attend the visitation or funeral wasn’t able to because of his lack of attention to detail. Very disappointed with his lack of empathy. Other than that everything was very nicely put together.
