The plan was to start with low overhead in order to keep costs down and prices affordable. Being born and raised in the Coulee Region, this concept was designed to benefit the local community that didn't have a cremation focussed option. Through the years, the company has adapted to the changing needs of the families we serve.
In the beginning, outsourcing was the focus. Overtime as the company grew, we are proud to offer inclusive services where everything is done in house. We have been the trend setter in the State of Wisconsin and will strive to keep Coulee Region Cremation Group at the forefront of the industry.

Services
As a keepsake to family and friends, we provide at no charge a memorial folder of your loved one. This is done in-house and under your direction for a personal feel. The front is either a photo or an image that has special meaning. The inside can have a poem or prayer as well as service information.
Eligible veterans may have military honors provided the family has a copy of his or her honorable discharge papers (DD-214). We work with the national funeral honors detail as well as our local American Legion posts in order to provide quality military honors for our veterans. In most cases, the veteran's branch of service will provide the flag folding with our legion post providing the rifle volleys.
Pre-planning or Pre-need funeral arrangements are the funeral plans we make either for ourselves or our loved ones in advance and offer many advantages for you and your family. Even though it is often difficult for us to talk about death and our end of life planning, if our wishes are left unknown to our family, it can make the process of planning a funeral laden with many difficult decisions.

Originally from La Crosse, WI, I sought my Mortuary Science Degree from the University of Minnesota. During my college studies I worked for a funeral home in South St. Paul, MN. I was fortunate that they extended me an offer as a full-time funeral director after graduation. While I enjoyed working in St. Paul, I was missing the personal connection with the families that I was serving.

My spouse passed away in March of this year after being diagnosed with cancer this past December. Our hospice team called them when we were ready for Coulee Region to step in. They were very kind and caring and very respectful.
I asked the person when they came if I could have one of our wedding photos cremated with him, and they said of course.
They did a wonderful job from A to Z.
I was very pleased with all of their assistance, answers to numerous questions I had.
They treated my spouse and family with dignity and were very respectful. Thank you!

A family death is so difficult to deal with emotionally. THere is so much to think about & plan as fast as possible prior to the funeral. With a hurried timetable, things can easily get overlooked or forgotten. Not the case with Coulee Region Cremation Group. We met with James Heiderscheit to assist in planning & preparing. It took no more than 5 minutes to realize that he is in this profession because of passion for showing respect, honoring loved ones & making sure wishes are met. My definition of a Professional.

We recently used Coulee Region Cremation Group for the passing of our mother. Joe was informative, sensitive, and professional. I was raised in the funeral industry and found Joe to be above and beyond what I had hoped for. I know mom was thankful we chose such a caring director to handle our needs.

I am very appreciative to Joe and the staff for the service they provided for my husbands cremation and service. He explained everything, and that we could choose exactly what we preferred. The prices were all laid out very clearly and we discussed each item and it was totaled on the spot. They handled everything. We were able to bring the photos we wanted and they made sure we had what we needed to accommodate our wishes to set them out. We were met at the door, they took flowers, bars, etc from there. All we had to do was show up and set up out photos to our liking. They did whatever they

These men were kind, honest, patient & understanding to our family when we lost Dad. There wasn't a question they didn't answer or a call they didn't return. We were extremely impressed at the gentle ease they provided as they guided us through this trying time. Thank you for your respect and courtesy; it will never go unnoticed!
