Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

Would only consider using them again if the owner could oversee the service. The employee we had just doesn’t have the professionalism or compassion that is absolutely essential for this line of work. The list of issues we had dealing w the other gentleman is extensive. The final straw is that our family has been trying to get the status of the death certificates we paid for at the time of the service a month ago. Not even so much as a return call or email.

I’m not sure if the others just had a bad experience, but I couldn’t have had a better experience than I have with Helsley Johnson Funeral home. A number of years ago they provided services for my grandmother (who had prearranged and paid for everything down to her obituary). However, just recently my father passed away in Morgantown. I literally picked up the phone and within hours they were on the road to bring him home to us. They never asked for a dollar or contract before picking him up, he said don’t worry about a thing I will take it from here. He guided me through the entire process

Beware this place apparently does not pay their bills and will pocket your money that you pay to them for the service they are supposed to provide..my step sons funeral was February 14th and it is seven months later still no head stone..at first they said they forgot to order it and placed the order in April..when asked in August about it we were told it should come anytime...found the company they use and turns out they didn't place the order until August 22nd...grieving parents and family should not have to go through this especially from a funeral home!!

I wouldn't even give this place 1star but they were polite during the service. This is the last day of August and friend passed away in January. They have yet to produce a headstone! The family had to google places to that it could have been ordered from. The office stated they had no phone # for company. Very unprofessional!! Bad enough you lose a loved one but then you can't even get the headstone thats been paid for since January. Unreal!!!
