DMA Martial Arts
We have known Shihan Dan for about 5 years when he taught our then pre-schoolers basic karate and self defense at their Preschool. When I heard he opened a Martial Arts school in town, we jumped at th. My oldest child had the privilege of training under Shihan Dan years ago at a different dojo and we were thrilled when DMA opened in Sudbury.

My 5 year old daughter has been a student since the dojo o. Our three sons love learning at DMA Martial Arts and have been attending the dojo for over five years! Shihan Dan is a wonderful teacher who really exemplifies the teachings of karate. DMA Martial Arts has been amazing for our 5-year-old! He loves Shihan (instructor) and has learned so much and developed a great deal of confidence.

Got a groupon to try the place.
Owner claim he does not do business with groupon and blamed me to be rude for advise to sort out groupon school appearance to save customer time. despite expressing interest in trying the program anyway without groupon deal, he simply send me away from the studio on being discounted with my advise (above) about groupon and valuing peoples time. Not sure what self confidence and nonviolent conflict resolution the owner is capable to teach kids but he himself would benefit in emotional management training. Rarely wasting my time on reviews but totally appalled this

Other karate classes for young children that I've seen are mostly games, running around, with a few sloppy kicks here and there. DMA teaches REAL karate from day one, and still manages to be just as fun for the kids without sacrificing learning actual self defense.

Don't waste your time and money on schools that don't really teach your children much of anything. DMA is the best, hands down. You'll never find a more patient, capable, and FUN instructor than Shihan Dan!

My children have been with DMA for 7 years. They are both black belts. The school is incredible. Dan lives what he teaches, and the children see that and are inspired by it. They live the principles of the school, they strive to embody being a black belt in academics and in their personal life. I have no doubt that my oldest who has attention issues, would not be getting the grades he does in middle school if he had not learned the discipline, character, and self-control that DMA requires and inspires. Confidant and caring.
