Services
It is important to have home inspection services performed to identify potential mechanical or structural problems that could be costly or unsafe. If your inspector recommends additional inspections or repairs by a qualified licensed contractor, you should get that opinion before your inspection Repair Procedure/Due Diligence date.
Your inspector will need to obtain certain information from you in order to schedule your inspection. So, we have prepared a quick Check List for you to help speed up the scheduling process. Note: utility companies typically require 3-5 business days to turn on utilities. Please verify with your realtor concerning who is responsible to turn on utilities and follow up to ensure the utilities are on prior to inspection.
Molds produce tiny spores to reproduce. Mold spores waft through the indoor and outdoor air continually. When mold spores land on a damp spot indoors, they may begin growing and digesting whatever they are growing on in order to survive. There are molds that can grow on wood, paper, carpet, and foods.

Have had David inspect two homes. Has missed major issues in both!
1). Older house— there were backed up gutters that were pouring water into the basement. After the first heavy rain in the house we had water in our basement. Water lines were clearly visible from previous rains. Let that one slide. Didn’t even say anything.
2a). Newer home (2014). Closed on the house and started cleaning the bathroom. Immediately notice the tile seat had no grout in it. Come to find out, there was extensive water damage in the walls b/c he missed it. Seat was completely rotted. And soaked with water under

We had a home inspection done before moving in and he did recommend we get some things fixed, which we did. We had a plumber come over to do some cosmetic work and he asked if we had the house inspected. We told him yes and he said "well your inspector is an idiot". He ended up having to do some things that cost us thousands of dollars. We next had our HVAC unit serviced after it was running and we noticed a stain on our ceiling. The HVAC company told us there was a leak in the drip pan due to a hole being drilled into the drip pan and quarter round piping being replaced with the wrong

Very disappointed in our inspection. We found burn holes in the siding and the toliet had paper towels covering the plunger because the toliet sprays everywhere. We called after move in and we never got a return phone call to explain why these things were not noted. After everyone gets their money, no one wants to answer a phone call. The inspection on the house we sold was much more detailed. I mean ripped us a new one with the detail, (By carolina RES) we got very minor details like the water spickets dripped and there was condensation between the windows. I usually can excuse things but this

If you are looking for a knowledgeable, skilled, thorough home inspector with people skills, then look no further. The last time I bought a home was 22 years ago. The inspector back then was focused more on the limits of his report, rather than valuable information I needed to know. I think he spent no more than 1/2 hour. Not the case with David & Sheila Rimmer. David spent 2+ hours doing the inspection. He looked at everything from attic to crawl space. Double Check was open to having me present during the inspection. I can personally attest to his thoroughness and integrity. Onsite
