Lindey Home Inspection Service LLC is owned and operated by licensed home inspector, Douglas Lindey. After growing up in an Insurance family and working as a Commercial lines Property Casualty Agent for 5 years. Doug's interests developed into building safe homes and the structures and systems inside of them.
The Buyer's Home inspection starts at just $300 and abides by the state of South Carolina's Standards of Practice (SOP). We provide 4 Point Inspections for insurance purposes. Rather than the entire home, this inspection focuses on four significant areas- the roof, plumbing system, electrical system, and HVAC system.
We inspect a lot of homes in South Carolina. Typically, we know what is normal and what is surprising, and some of the pictures we've taken tell stories that would surprise the home owners or buyers. Many of these items would never have been found without a comprehensive inspection. Below are some of the images that surprised us - issues that potential home buyers or sellers can't afford to miss.

I hired Lindey Home Inspection Service to do my inspection even though I live out of its normal service area. The quality of the reports and Doug's attention to detail made the home buying experience less stressful. Doug was very professional and prompt in making it out to our future home as well as incredibly through in his inspection and report. Let us know problem areas that would affect our purchase and cosmetic items and lifespan on items to prepare for future repairs.
He attached descriptions and photographs with circled areas to easily digest the report. From initial contact to written report was under a week. We received our write up less than 24 hours after inspection. Highly recommend.
