Henry's House
Henry's House is a fun, nurturing environment for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. Preschool is a new and exciting experience, and we look forward to providing a rich, positive and genuine atmosphere for you and your child. This is such a special time in their lives and we feel proud to be a part of it.

We offer a quality experience for children 3 to 5 years old by creating an environment that is nurturing, inclusive, educational and which helps children grow emotionally, socially and cognitively. Our balanced program takes into consideration a child's experiences and maturation level. We help develop healthy self-concepts, opportunities for success, and freedom to explore and discover - with positive reinforcement being our main strategy.
Services
Since 2007, our program has focused on child-centered, "hands-on" activities that are developed with an understanding of the unique and diverse developmental needs of 3, 4, and 5-year-olds. Poems, rhymes, shared reading, big books, awareness of letters and their sounds, dictations, as well as speaking and listening skills.

Henry's House is a wonderful, neighborhood play-based preschool. Amy & Leslie's caring approach to learning & socializing are such a beacon of light in a world of academics first. My daughter has loved every minute of her time here and your child will too! I'm so thankful to have found such a perfect fit for our family.

Our family has so many positive things to say about our daughter's experience at Henry's House. She was there for 2.5 years and during that time we watched her build relationships, increase her confidence and strengthen her resilience. Her knowledge and love for learning was fostered and encouraged in a positive and supportive environment. Some of her favorite things were her teachers, her friends (playing pretend/free play), sharing circle, going over the schedule, letter people and centers. She wanted me to make sure I conveyed that the teachers at Henry's House are outstanding

Both my son and daughter attended this small and personal local preschool. Amy and her team believe I'm problem solving and cooperative play which children need more than ever in the day and age of screens and classes.

Her flexibility, guidance and knowledge of early childhood is un-matched.

I highly recommend Henrys House!

My older children attended a preschool in the 'burbs which I absolutely loved, but when it came time to send my youngest daughter to preschool, I needed something closer. I did not think any other experience would be as good as what my boys had, but I was wrong. Henry's House is the absolute best. Small, loving, and play based, Amy and Leslie taught my daughter so much more than recognizing her letters and writing her name. They taught her how to cooperate, how to work through problems, how to honor feelings, and how to make friends. My daughter is heading off to kindergarten in a few

Our family absolutely adores Henry's House. Such a refreshing approach to early childhood education...let them play! My children have emerged as happy, confident, and emotionally prepared for kindergarten...and they happened to learn all their letters and numbers along the way

My son started attending HH this fall, and although he is difficult with change and transitions of any kind, Miss Amy and her staff have made this the best possible experience for us. She genuinely loves doing what she does and it shows - everyone at HH works hard to take care of each child, learn what makes them tick and guide them accordingly. My son has so much affection for his teachers and he now loves going to school, and I know we made the absolute right choice with HH. We'll be sending our youngest here as well, we're so glad to have this school in our neighborhood.

So y'all I saw this lone sad review on Henry's house and just had to add my own, which is long overdue since my daughter graduated a year ago from there, and also respond to Kimberly N. Henry's House is a private preschool down the street from me that we chose specifically for its vibe that screams wholesome play preschool and responsible parenting. We chose it because it matched our values as parents and I knew Amy would support those values, no matter what. My child enjoyed her short play-filled learning days, healthy snacks, and drama-free parent drop-off and pickup. We couldn

Henry's house was the BEST experience for my family. Stacy S. nailed it. The values match my own family values. Teaching responsibility to the kids is amazing. Having to teach the parents can be exhausting. Amy and her team of teachers do this with patience and a smile.

Henry's House is quite simply the best option for preschool that I have ever encountered through the years with my three children. I only wish we had sent our first two there, because the experience we had with our third child at HH was excellent. The proof is in the affection our youngest still has for the school, Miss Amy and all the staff, and in the smooth transition he made into kindergarten and beyond. Miss Amy's philosophy in providing age-appropriate guidance while letting children be who they are has built a community of bright and social HH alums (and their families) that are
