The Lewis Chatman Academy is a new age nonprofit Child Care Center in Paterson, NJ. We are committed to the entire family. Our goal is to educate the family as well as the children through various programs and adult classes. The Lewis Chatman Academy uses creative curriculum along with TLCA specialized curriculum for our Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, Pre K, and kindergarten.

These curriculum's align favorably with the state of New Jersey's education standards for young children. We are now accepting applications for our new Kindergarten Program at the Haledon location. The Lewis Chatman Academy's Preschool/Pre-kindergarten Program offers days packed full of activities.

The Lewis Chatman Academy carefully plans activities that are specifically designed with a child's individual traits to accommodate various learning styles at our Child Care center. All children love to learn. Children should have access to an education that meets their needs. Our motto is that we educate the whole child including physical, emotional, and their creative side.

The CDA National Credentialing Program is a professional development opportunity for early educators working with children ages birth to 5 years old to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and abilities in the early childhood education field.

The CDA credentialing program assesses candidates using multiple sources evidence; including an exam, observations, and professional a portfolio with resources and competency statements prepared by the candidate.The early childhood education field is constantly evolving and it is important for educators to stay current with key education practices.
