Solid wood flooring is made from one solid piece of wood throughout. This gives it the ability to be sanded and refinished as desired. Each species of wood will have a varying degree of hardness or strength. The chart below shows that Brazilian Walnut is the hardest wood, and Douglas Fir the softest.

Buyer beware! Run from this company. Ruben is a liar and a very shady businessman. His FBook ads promote services he does not follow through on - nor complete. I responded to a FaceBk ad that stated: “sink and cutout included”. He did not include the sink. I purchased my own sink. After paying a hefty price for boneyard remnants, he gave me the runaround for a week and refused to return to my home to complete the job. We also agreed on overhang dimensions. His incompetent installers installed the junk granite flush with the cabinetry. I mentioned this to them. They pulled the granite one inch

Buyer Beware!!! Almost 3 weeks later my kitchen is still torn up. Reuben does not do what he says he will do when you sign up. He didn't mitre our corners (but charged us for them). He took short cuts on leveling out pieces (unequal size). He doesn't clean up after himself after each visit. His employees do NOT understand English which results in ongoing confusion. He does not supervise, nor does he check the ongoing work (which causes more delays due to the need for correction). He also tries to tell you afterwards that he is not responsible for certain portions of their work, after he can't figure

I had been in the market for granite counters since April 2019. We received three quotes from the Killeen area. Some were really pricey and others had 12 week turn around time. I had almost given up when I saw an ad for Travertine Artisans via Facebook on 24 July 2019. I reached out through Facebook messenger and received a response within half an hour. We scheduled an appointment for 27 July and Ruben showed up on time and gave us a great quote for everything we were asking for. The price included tear down, disposal, granite, sink cut-out, and install. The cut of the edges could be any style

Travertine Artisans is an awesome one-stop shop for consumers who are remodeling their kitchens and or baths. They have a beautiful selection of granite slabs or if you find a slab elsewhere ( like we did) they have the slabs you select shipped to their shop and get you a good price.
