Sherman Property Management

On August 11 and 12, Sherman maintenance responded to a service request placed for water in the basement of an older farmhouse where a furnace was also not working properly. The furnace was replaced when they also found several frozen pipes and rotting plumbing lines starting from the bathroom. Lines run down from the bathroom next to the living room, and down into the basement next to the furnace. Another contractor with Allison’s Plumbing and Heating was called into thejob. So far I am not impressed. They just took over our apt about 3 or 4 months ago. The ceiling in our son's room fell over a week ago, the maintenance guy came out the night it happened and said someone would be out on Monday (2 days later) we still have not seen anyone. Today more of the ceiling fell and its been a week and 4 days. Twice in 2 weeks the people renovating the 1st floor apt turned off the water, it supplies both Apts, so we were out of water the first time for 6 hrs before they sent someone out to fix it. My hats off to Tom at Sherman!!! In the dead of summer I had my A/C unit go out, it was a Thursday late afternoon. My business is very dependent on maintaining a constant temperature. Tom had someone out the next morning ( Friday ) and problem was solved in 45 minutes, disaster averted . Thanks Sherman and Tom for providing outstanding service / maintenance!!!!!!

Do NOT rent from these people...When we moved out they kept our whole security deposit plus to charge me another almost $400To fix the carpet which was ruined from the time we moved in...it was frayed at all the doors and from Vacuuming over it only made it worse we had to tape it down until we moved out. I questioned why we were charged and then they showed me pictures of when we first moved in but did not show the doorways..plus our apartment was full of mold...it smelled very musty from the 15 year old carpet being made wet by trying to clean it...

I am new to the area and have chosen to rent with Sherman Property Management, they have been so professional and easy to work with, not knowing anything about the location or even the state I have been extremely pleased with every interaction I have had with them, I have a Wonderful apartment and the staff is amazing!!

I have used Sherman as my property manager for 10 years for a rental house I own in York City. Thei accounting office is phenomenal with monthly statements and breakdowns of debits and credits. As a landlord, I never receive calls for any problems that arise on the property. They take care of everything and inform me along the way. Willie Kearney has handled my property with professionalism and integrity. I would definitely recommend Sherman to a rental landlord that doesn’t want to deal with any property issues.

We have lived in REVI Flats for almost a year. From the time we were shown the apartments by Willie to signing the lease, he was so helpful and pleasant and answered all of our questions. We have lived in many apartments but this was by FAR the most professional service we have ever received. We used Sherman to find a rental. However, the rental they promoted and placed us in completely failed inspection multiple times, and the landlord was completely unwilling to fix any issue. They never provided an inspection to the house before we moved in, and did not care when we brought the issues up to them directly at move in, or after we had the Dallastown Borough make us aware of issues with the house. Basically got a “sorry about your luck” and they didn’t even attempt to fix the issue. They do not care about the rentals they advertise as long as they get their money for placing tenants

We resided at one of their downtown properties from Oct 2017 until July 2020. First of all, rent was affordable. Whenever we had a maintenance issue, we always received prompt and courteous attention. We bought a house but if we ever needed to rent again or know of someone, we would highly recommend.

I was a tenant in the York area for 5 years with Sherman Property Management. They were always very responsive if I called with questions or sent a request for maintenance. I cannot thank them enough for a great experience from the beginning with signing the lease to the move out process and promptly processing my paperwork and security deposit refund. If I ever need to rent a home again, I would not hesitate to contact them!

Rude and neglectful staff. horrible maintenance staff. unorganized, irresponsible, and unprofessional. probably the worst rental company I have ever had to do business with. Sherman property management is so imposing oh, they don't care if they are an inconvenience in your life, they will enter your home whenever they feel like it and take nothing you say into consideration. they don't even know their own Leases but yet they quote them as if they know everything that is written on them. do not recommend, if you see a Sherman property Management sign outside of a property I promise you no matter

They are liars and unsympathetic, we paid all our rent but because the owner of the house wants to sell they said we owned rent I have all my receipts, they are rude and if you are looking at one of their properties just know they won't call you back and it takes months to get a repair done.
