Everyday we hear stories from our wonderful customers that relate special memories of jewelry connected to special occasions. We have had an older customer in a wheelchair give us a simple gold ring she had received from her parents upon high school graduation in 1935. Her eyes sparkled as she described the dress she wore and the jewelry box her mom and dad gave her to celebrate the occasion.
Our job was to simply size it larger so it could be worn again. We were proud to do it. We had another customer who became a widow. Her husband's wedding band was very special to her and she wanted to have some way to keep it close. We turned it sideways and added a pendant loop to the top. We then took her diamond pendant that her husband had given her and suspended it within the new pendant.

Services
About 50% of a gemstone's value is related to its color. Color in a colored gemstone is in itself graded by saturation or intensity, tone (how light or dark it is) and hue, or purity of color. Since most stones have at least one modifying color, such as yellow, we grade the modifying colors for rarity and beauty.
The pearls a person finds in jewelry are one of three types: Natural, Cultured, and Synthetic. Natural pearls are formed by chance, and occur rarely in nature, while cultured pearls have been given a helping hand by man. Pearls are formed in both saltwater and freshwater mollusks. Today nearly all pearls, both freshwater and saltwater, are cultured.
Most often the best way to clean is the easiest. For 90% of your jewelry, a bar of simple soap, such as Ivory, and a clean, soft toothbrush (no toothpaste, ever!) will do the job. Most rings and pendants get dull looking from hand lotions and body oils. To clean jewelry, take a wet toothbrush, some soap and work up a lather.
A jeweler's highest skills are used in the repair and restoration of a fine piece of jewelry. Gold and platinum can be repaired with little or no visible sign of the repair. I brought my wife's ring, which used to be her mothers, to have several stones replaced and settings built back up. They did a remarkable job and my wife is extremely pleased the work that was done on this treasured item of hers. Thank you very much.
Also, prior to having any work done on my wife's ring, they offered to cut off a ring on my finger that I was unable to take off for decades due to arthritis. This was done at no charge. Can't thank you enough for that.

The owner of this place is more knowledgeable than anyone in this town regarding diamond quality and cut. He takes the time to explain exactly what you are paying for and what the differences are. And it is way more complicated than size, cut, Gia etc. What would take you a month to try and learn he can teach you in 1hr. I’m purchased a pendant from another dealer and he was willing to take a look at it with out even purchasing anything from him. I don’t have enough words to express how amazing my experience with Beaudet Jewelry was. I emailed them regarding replacing the center stone of my wedding ring with a diamond I had. Beaudet Jewelry is the BEST! Five years ago, I had a very valuable heirloom ring that needed to be sized so that I could wear it as a daily wedding ring. After taking it to two other reputable Eugene jewelers, and having the shank (band) crack again and again, I finally took it to Charles Beaudet. I'm in the same boat as Lesli below in the fact that I went there due to all the high reviews on yelp. A prong on my grandmother's ring she left me broke and I needed someone to repair it. While I'm not sure the ring has any big price value it's extremely significant to me. I wanted someone I could trust and would put forth the time and effort to fix it.

I'm going to try to keep this brief since I'm brimming with good things to say. I don't really own/wear jewelry, but my 94yr old grandmother does. I have taken on the task of repairing her jewelry. I have had only good experiences with Beaudet Jewelry. I went in with a drawing of some earrings that I wanted and Mr. Beaudet was very helpful in turning the drawing into real (beautiful) earrings while respecting my budgetary constraints. Later on, I had a matching pendant made, and again it came out wonderfully. The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish.

The short of it is this: We couldn't have imagined a better experience than the experience we had with Nicole, the salesperson, and Chuck Beaudet himself.
