Young children are curious and active - and they sometimes have difficulty learning to control their bodies and their behavior. They crave structure and thrive in an environment that's supportive, educational, and fun. They struggle to maintain control of their movements and may be unintentionally destructive.

The truth is, it's all that and WAY more! As a martial arts instructor with extensive experience training kids, there is nothing better than seeing them grow firsthand.

Between peer pressure, their innate urge to rebel against their parents, and their surging hormones, they can be impossible to be around.

I don't feel this place gave my kid reasonable goals to work for. To advance I simply had to pay more money. This place is expensive and I expect more from a professional place of business. I feel entering into a obligational contract for a kid is unreasonable God forbid your kid lose interest you still have to pay. My kids lost interest 8 months in I still was forced to pay the full 1500$. Traffic is horrendous at the times they have for starting. I absolutely do not recommend this place find somewhere else that will work with your kids and make them enjoy coming and learning.

Bobby Lawrence did an after-school program for a few weeks that my first grader did and fell in love so we ended up signing him up for classes twice a week. They are so great with the kids and make it so much fun. The classes aren't so long that the kids get stir crazy and lose focus which is nice. My son is now obsessed with all things karate 😂 thanks Bobby Lawrence team for making class so much fun!

We love working with all the instructors and management at this location. They are professional and push their students to excellence! They encourage the youth to teach their classmates as well, which instills confidence in them regarding forms, weapons, and instruction skills. We LOVE hearing our child say how fun the classes are, too!

This is not just a fantastic martial arts program - it is a mentoring program, and there is SUCH a wonderful feeling of growth and mentorship in the studio. Amazing instructors that have a constant stream of inspiration from the owner, Dallas Lawrence - who is a nationally acclaimed fighter, himself. We are SO lucky to have this gem of a studio in our midst. Our three boys all got black belts here and every penny was worth it.

My daughter wanted to participate in a summer program to see if she liked karate. BLK was the best value in the area by far. The staff have been so great helping her get caught up on basic skills so that she could feel more comfortable in class. They have been very open about costs involved and have options available to make it more affordable for an average family. When she arrived for her second class, she was even recognized by name!

My son started at Bobby Lawrence a month ago and I am so impressed with their program and all the instructors. He gets lots of positive encouragement, individual feedback and attention during class, and they use so many effective teaching methods (this school teacher approves!). Plus, they are always professional and friendly. I highly recommend Bobby Lawrence Karate in American Fork!

Highly recommend this as a place for having your child learn important life values and standards. They helped my son immensely from when he started at 8 years of age. He's now a third degree black belt at 14! This year he has begins teaching and he is excited to be a part of this team. Thank you Bobby Lawrence Karate, Dallas Lawrence, and the entire staff. You truly do teach winning attitudes based on time tested values. We love this program.

I've been checking places for karate classes for my son, he just turned 4 and usually for these classes they want you to start at 5. I called this place after calling a couple other ones and they told me they can have the teacher (Dallas) do a one on one assessment to see if he can join the 5-6year old kids' class. We went there and they didn't waste anytime. We went inside a private room to meet with Dallas, let me tell you this - he is freaking amazing! There are those who try overly hard to level with the kids that looks awkward in a way but Dallas was a natural. I am very keen
