Its owner and founder is Carolyn Driggers, a mother who while in the search for quality childcare for her new born was not confident with local child care providers of the time. She wanted a place that she could not only feel safe for the care and wellbeing of her child, but one that would allow that child to develop and flourish in a loving and caring environment.
Infant Environment - We have two beautiful spacious classrooms at three of our four facilities. Infant I allows children 6 weeks to 9 months plenty of room to explore with tummy time, crawling, and exploring various toys to stimulate their social, emotional, language, and sensory development. Infant II allows children 9 months to 14 months the opportunity to explore and make meaningful connections with their loving caregivers.
Ideally, a day care program is one that provides structured play and learning experiences for your child, as well as a safe and nurturing environment. A day care program with an excellent reputation is very important. Another thing to consider is supervision. There should be plenty of staff to offer attention to each child.
Hi, my name Paula Gremillion and I am the director of Appletree Daycare #3. My passion for working with children started my junior year of high school. I got my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education in 1985. 30 years later, I went back to school and graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies /Early Childhood Education.
My career in childcare began as a teen, babysitting for several families. While attending Shaw University, I began working at Appletree Daycare #3 in 2008. During this time, I moved from the classroom to the front office. While there have been other childcare centers throughout my career, Appletree has always been my childcare home.

My son attended this school a while back. I loved the school and all of the teachers there until my son randomly told my mom that one day after I left he was crying for me and Ms. Estridge pushed him in the bathroom and bobbed his head for crying. I believe him because every time he brings this incident up he says the exact same thing. Also, I realize that her interaction with me had changed. My son is not a bad child at all. He is very intelligent, articulate and very well mannered so I have no idea what would make her do that. Either way, I would not recommend this school as long as she is on

Beyond elated with the progress my daughter has made. I moved to the neighborhood and needed a daycare immediately. Upon arrival the director, Mrs. Cole was so warm and took her time to assist me. I don’t have words to express how much gratitude I have for the school in addition to the teachers.
Parents I promise, this will be the best descion towards your child- children’s future!

My 16 year old son first went there when he was 2. He did pre school, kindergarten and the after school program. My son received good education there. He was reading at a 2nd grade level back in kindergarten, and received help from some of the best after school supervisors up until when he stopped doing after school in 7th grade. My daughter went there for pre k too. Shes in 4th grade now, and has been on honor roll in every grade since. I reccomend any parent in Brooklyn to bring their child to this program.

I transitioned my 2 year old to that school in Sept 2018. I appreciate the orientation with the director I had. She was very friendly and kind. The teachers really love what they do. It's great to see, my now 3 year old, learning and evolving. Her progress has been great. I'm happy with Apple Tree and the services they provide to my child along with many others.

I was looking for a Daycare for my Two year old daughter who was potty trained but still needed an eye on her. I worked 9-5, so also needed an after school program! I walked in and the director was very helpful, they provide breakfast and lunch which is prepared directly by the staff and made fresh! Love how attentive they are with the children, Ms.Smith and Ms.Estridge hug and kiss my daughter like their own and make sure to tell her they love her when she leaves for home. I have peace while I am at work that my daughter is in great hands. There is one male staff Mr.Jerome and he is also very
