Alexis was born in Boston, Massachusetts and was raised in the East Bay where she graduated from Irvington High School in 1997. After receiving her Registered Dental Assistant license in 2001 she has been applying her knowledge at a pediatric and orthodontic practice for the past twelve years. She currently resides in South San Francisco with her husband, Jaysen and their three children, Janae, Jeramya, and Alani.
Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request 24-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment. After missing your second appointment without notifying us 24 hours in advance, you are subject to being charged an additional fee.
We strongly believe that finances should not be a barrier to an attractive and healthy smile. Our team will arrange a payment schedule that makes orthodontic treatment affordable and convenient for you. Our office will take time to explain and maximize all of your insurance benefits. In addition, we gladly accept payment through most insurance companies, debit/credit cards as well as other flexible payment options.
At your first visit, you will be greeted by Rosa, our Treatment Coordinator, and will be joined by Dr. James in his office, where he will discuss your treatment options. Kayla, our Financial Coordinator who sits at the front desk, will check you in for your regularly scheduled appointments and can help assist you on any financial questions.

FREE retainer replacement for life! Seriously. That sounds like the best reason to see Dr. James, right? There are more reasons to go to Peninsula Orthodontic Group. Dr. James Tsau is not only a nice person, but he's genuine. His staff is awesome! Both of my kids got their braces from Dr. James and they love him, too. He always takes the time to say hello. He remembers personal tidbits about not only his patients, but their family members as well. So much has changed with orthodontics than when I was younger. I remember many stories of friends and family having teeth pulled in order to have braces

Having not taken particularly good care of my teeth when younger, I ended up needing to (or at least it was highly recommended) wear braces in my late twenties, which was obviously not something I was looking for, especially not for a very complicated case like mine. Still, I ended up doing a consultation with Dr James where we discussed my options, potential timelines, and pricing, after which I quickly decided to go for it and committed to a full treatment with metal braces.
Fast forward to today, i.e. three years later, and I can't list a single bad experience – my treatment, while lengthy

Dr. James is awesome! He is a really well-respected orthodontist and provides great results and experiences for his patients. Whether you are an adult patient or the parent of a child seeking orthodontics, you would be wise to select his office for either braces or Invisalign. His office is really modern and high-tech. It's obvious that he is simply a really good person. I can't imagine why anybody would go anywhere else.
