Services
We use Damon(R) metal and clear braces. Damon(R) braces are a type of passive self-ligating braces, which means that they use low friction, low force, and they have gates that open and close on the wire, eliminating the need for elastic/wire ties. After years of working with many types of braces, Dr. Sara has chosen Damon(R) braces as her primary type of braces for her practice.
At your first visit, you will meet our friendly smile team, and we will give you a tour of our office! We will take some photos of you, so that we can carefully diagnose your smile and talk about your options. You will then talk to Dr. Sara about your concerns, and she will do a thorough examination and then discuss with you her findings.

I just finished treatment after about 3 years with Dr. Andrews.
Dr. Andrews was my second orthodontist who treated me. I had been a client of another Orthodontist who treated me for 2 years of Invisalign.
My previous treatment left me unhappy, because they had camouflaged my overbite by making my upper incisors slant inward to hide the overbite and overjet. This left me very unhappy with my smile.
I started to google other options. I wondered if my overbite and jaw retrusion were significant enough to warrant jaw surgery.

As a single woman working a full-time job I had a pretty busy schedule when I decided to get some orthodontic work to fix some shifting teeth on my lower jaw. Dr Andrews is kind, thorough, detail-oriented, and efficient. Her team is friendly and welcoming, and always greeted me by name, even when I couldn't remember theirs.

Dr Andrews is the most amazing Orthodontist ever, I trust her more then I have ever trusted any doctor. My experience with this team gave me hope in dentistry again. I showed up at Dr. Andrews is a horrible state, coming off of a bad experience which left me missing 2 teeth and with no one to trust. Finally I got the "golden bottle with my golden smile"!! Thanks to the rocking team of Dr.Sara Andrews! Hands down she is the best orthodontist in the San Carlos neighborhood. My entire treatment was extremely well planned and executed. I couldn't have asked for anything else. She took extra efforts to fine tune my smile and I can't help smiling .

I consulted with 3 orthodontists and found Dr. Andrews to be the best for my daughter. I also learned during my research that she is the only boars certified orthodontist in San Carlos.
I appreciated her advice to hold off on my older daughter getting braces until her adult teeth came in and closed the gap she had. Another orthodontist had recommended braces for her to close the gap. Her gap has since closed on its own, so Dr. Andrews saved me a lot of money with that recommendation!
My younger child had a cross bite and her mouth needed expansion as well as straightening. After only 10 months

We love Dr. Andrews and her staff (especially Lauren) at Andrews Orthodontics. Dr. Andrews is the only board certified orthodontist in San Carlos. I thought her prices would be higher because of it, but I was wrong. Her rates are competitive with the other three orthodontists that I consulted with.
Dr. Andrews has a wonderful bedside manner. She is so kind and gentle with my daughter. We are so pleased that we found her!

We were referred to this office by our dentist who we think very highly of. My daughter is currently under Dr Andrews's care to correct her underbite and so far we are very pleased with the way things are going. All appointments have started on time, we are always kept well informed about my daughter's progress and the plans for her future care. I'd like to start by saying that I had braces once before as a child, back in 1998-2001. I had them for a couple of years for severe crowding, and had a palate expander, as well. I was awful about wearing my retainers. I also got my wisdom teeth extracted a little too late (and they were severely impacted). I recently met Dr Sara at her practice in San Carlos. Her friendly receptionist greeted me and made me feel very welcome. Dr Sara gave me a tour of her brand new surgery. It has all the latest equipment and up to date techniques to treat dental patients. What I liked about it the most is that it was very well designed and didn't feel institutional like most orthodontics. I felt like I was at a spa! Dr Sara is highly educated and knowledgeable.
