Fujiyama, a locally-owned and operated family-style Japanese teppanyaki steakhouse and sushi bar, has become an Augusta institution. Continuing a rich Japanese tradition, we use only the finest steak and seafood for grilling and premium quality fresh fish at the sushi bar. Our chefs are skilled cooks and entertainers.
We are open seven days a week, Monday through Thursday for dinner and Friday-Sunday for lunch and dinner. We feature specials every day of the week in our bar and on our menu. We are open for dine-in guests and we are going above and beyond the local requirements to ensure your health and safety. Our hooded Teppanyaki tables and robust exhaust fans continuously improve the air quality with fresh air circulating approximately 30 times per hour.

Teppanyaki cooking has a 225-year history. What does teppanyaki mean? It means, quite literally, broiled on a steel grill, which is the definition of Japanese teppanyaki-style cooking in its simplest form. Traditionally, meals were cooked on a small hibachi grill at home, but the practice has evolved into a highly refined and beautiful form of expression, characterized by an intricate combination of presentation and knife skills.
You can request to be seated at the sushi bar if you are interested in watching your food being prepared or in making conversation with the itamae (sushi man). If you have a party of three or four people and would like to eat at the sushi bar, it will make conversation much easier if you request corner seats at the bar so that all of your guests are facing each other rather than seated in a row.
We appreciate it when you choose Fujiyama Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar to share a meal with family and friends. We now offer two ways to order online and, of course, you are always welcome to join us for the dazzling shows put on by our chefs or for fresh wholesome sushi dishes in our sushi bar.

We didn't get any photos, they had a great cook do a good show that our small human very engaged and was interactive. We did get sat with another family group and after the age of covid it was a bit awkward. But food was very tasty. We had order sushi with our cooked dinner. The sushi still had not arrived when dinner had been finished and packed up, so we asked for it to go. The other party canceled theirs. Apparently only one person was making sushi rolls, and we ended up with an extra roll and had to box them ourselves, it was a weird ending to an otherwise awesome experience. I imagine the

The Chefs were very entertaining and the food was good. Our waitress was overwhelmed but the Manager and other members of the staff stepped up to fill in the gaps. Even the bus boy asked us if we needed anything... He even went so far as to get us refills on our drinks. Because he went out of his way to help us, I tipped him individually. Good workers are hard to find these days. I really appreciated him.

I was extremely disappointed! I’m normally a regular here so I’m very familiar with their menu and food portions. We arrived here around 8:15 and had to wait about 30 minutes to get seated. We really didn’t think much about it but then they sat us at a table that was clearly meant for 8 people but it was 10 of us (Two parties of 2 and One party of 6). We was told that the table was meant to sit 10 people (lies)! All parties was trying to work with them because we knew they were going to close at 10. Our cook didn’t come out until about 9:20 which was still not a problem but then we saw

My family and I went on New Years Eve. Staff was helpful and very friendly. Quick to top off drinks, take orders, and bring out apps. Very accommodating for our various food allergies and dietary restrictions. The cooking show was awesome and being my kids first time, they were mesmerized. The food was delicious. Hot things were hot and cold things were cold. No meh it could be warmer.

First time experience Food was very delicious I like to set up that they have its something similar to hibachis I better. The chefs are great they did a good job it was also like a mini performance while they cook our food in front of us. The Waitresses is pretty cool as well. And they also have a bar section and a sushi bar as well so it’s a variety of sitting for eating

This was a pretty ok experience. It was unfortunately busy so my guys and I had to sit around for a good 30mins start ordering and another 30mins to get the appetizers. One of my friends was dead last to get any of his food. The waiter was very kind about the situation but super slow process. The food itself was very VERY good and that does make me want to come back again. Other than being busy, it wasn't the worst restaurant I've been to.

Very disappointed in the service tonight at Fujiyama’s. I’m normally not one to complain. However, my meal was left off the ticket so when the chef came to the table to prepare/cook, he didn’t have enough food.… He also didn’t have enough food for two other people at our table. The waitress didn’t come to refill our drinks or bring napkins or anything. We had to ask for to go boxes and sauces. When the owner got involved, he just laughed, blew the situation off and tried to cover up all the issues. We’ve eaten there several times in the last couple months

This restaurant is very nice on the outside and inside. They do have bathrooms toward the back of the restaurant. Customer service was great. The food is a lil bit pricey but they do give a lot of rice and veggies, soup and a salad with ginger dressing in an entree. I ordered maki roll with shrimp, avocado, cucumber and it was not great. The tails were left on the shrimp and was not a nice feeling when taking a bite. I also ordered a crunch roll which was good. The hibachi entree was good as well. I also ordered two Pina Coladas and they were excellent. I do recommend this restaurant and would
