My name is Jessica Peters, I am a born local of the Roaring Fork valley and met Aidan Winn on an outing with my adopted chihuahua puppy u201cBiggie Smallsu201d we spoke briefly of some medical challenges I was having with Biggie (he's blind and underweight, scared of everything) he referred me to the program at Aspen animal hospital.
Making sure our patients remain safe during surgery and other medical procedures is extremely important to us. Our team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians is skilled in using anesthesia and monitoring patients to ensure their safety and provide the most comfortable experience. Anesthesia and patient monitoring vary greatly from clinic to clinic.
Our knowledgeable staff and our facilities allow us to deal with a variety of medical conditions your pet may experience. We hope we do not have to see you or your pet for an emergency but if we do, we are equipped to handle the situation. In some cases, your pet may require hospitalization and further diagnostic tests.

Another great experience! I have been going to AAH since early 2000. Dr. Anne and Kathy have taken excellent care of my fur kids throughout the year's and I trust them to give me honest advice and feedback regarding treatments and procedures necessary to keep my fur kids healthy. Dr. Anne and Kathy dealt with some very difficult situations during those years and handled them compassionately and with amazing skill. The vets are great but they need to work on educating their front desk.
First - you don’t answer the business phone with “Hello”, I didn’t called your house but an establishment.
Second, if I ask ‘do you have something in stock’ it doesn’t mean you should put it in a bag and charge me for it, I didn’t say - ‘give me this’ , I said - ‘do you have it in stock’.
I like the vets and will keep coming, but everything has a limit, and at certain point the level of customer service will prevail.

Got double charged for a service, brought that to their attention, just got a refund with not even an apology or any acknowledgment, it can happen to all of us. Still, it's a common courtesy to apologize when you make a mistake. I guess common sense is not that common. Besides, the double charge was caught after we had to request our bill twice.
Further, the vet tech says one thing and the front desk completely other - miscommunication.
Lastly, if you want people's business, you have to show them respect and appreciation for their trust in your knowledge and expertise to deal with their pet's

All of the staff at Aspen Animal Hospital are extremely nice and attentive. I recently had a scare with my 3 yr old boxer, Zeppelin. They truly care about my boy as if he were theirs, every time, and I am continually impressed by their attention to detail and incredible professionalism. I'm a seasoned canine professional, so I set my standards for vet practices and other pet businesses quite high. Over the weekend we had an unexpected incident requiring urgent vet care while camping in Aspen.… This practice was ready for my dog within 10 minutes of my call. I was impressed with the professional attitude of Dr. Cooley. She was informative, friendly and very straight forward, and she did a beautiful job closing up my dog's laceration. Recently we had to say goodbye to one of our fur babies of 12 years. Over those years she was a frequent flyer at Aspen Animal Hospital and I can't say enough wonderful things about all the doctors, vet techs and front office staff. Everyone was always so helpful, caring, empathetic and supportive.
