Maple Grove Preschool and Childcare is an all day quality Early Childhood Program that serves children ages 3-6 years old. This Program uses the Early Childhood Indicators of Progress: Minnesota's Early Learning Standards (ECIPs) to guide our curriculum and practices.
Our program has enriching activities that include physical and movement development; language, literacy and communications; mathematics; science; social systems; approaches to learning; the arts, and social and emotional development.We are unique in that you won't find a room packed with children here.

Services
ParentAware is a quality rating and improvement system, that supports Minnesota's quality early learning and school readiness initiatives. This program offers quality improvement programs and training for licensed child care, preschool and school readiness programs. It also offers resources for families, specifically in supporting all families with young children with accessibility to high-quality early learning programs and resources.
Our curriculum reflects current best practices in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Research shows that children learn best through experiences that match their developmental stage. Children also learn best in environments where they have warm, nurturing relationships. In our Classroom, we aim to spark children's sense of wonder, curiosity, and delight in learning.

*Our daughter attended Mrs. Barb’s preschool for nearly 2 years*
Discovering Barb was a true stroke of luck (thank you, random google search), as we had decided that the larger daycare center my daughter had previously attended for a brief period was not a good fit. It was clear, from our very first meeting with Barb and her husband Dave, that we had found a fantastic and dedicated teacher for our 3 year old. I do not have children that have attended Maple Grove Preschool. But I know Barb and have toured her facility. Barb is a very loving, caring person who takes the growth and development of children seriously. Her facility is clean, well organized, spacious and she has numerous areas for play, learning and experiencing. I would be thrilled to have my child attend Maple Grove Preschool.

Miss Barb is such a wonderful teacher and my friend Josephine (I am her nanny) loves playing at school with her friends! I have been working with Josephine since she was just a few months old, and during our time together her family has tried a few different school settings to help expand her social skills. I can say without a doubt that she has flourished the most in Miss Barb's care, and it has been so wonderful to watch her grow and see the things she is learning at school. Miss Barbara has been absolutely wonderful and I really can't express that enough. Finding her was the best thing for our family. My son has been with her for almost 3 years now and is off to Kindergarten this fall, and her program has really made him ready and he's so excited about it. Her activities she does with the kids is so wide ranged yet it keeps them so engaged. From letters, words, animals, bugs, numbers, songs, and weather, she really does it all! We moved to maple grove about two years ago and my daughter had to be put in a center which was horrible for her because she’s advanced for her age, I felt she was loosing everything she learned from our previous in home! We were directed towards Mrs. Barbras preschool by a friend! I honestly can’t even begin to thank her and Mr. David for how they’ve helped Violet grow! In less than 2 years she has learned so much including to write letters, numbers and able to identify them as well! She is an expert in art these day! Our daughter has been in Barb's care for over a year and it has been a wonderful experience! Barb has a lovely way of balancing structured learning, creativity and fun. We enjoy hearing about the themes each week and are excited to see the art projects, or hear the songs, that align. It's a loving and encouraging atmosphere for our daughter to learn and grow.

Barb is the best! She knows children and really loves what she does and it shows. My children love her and sometimes don't want to come home. She has a preschool program and they come home singing songs all the time. I never worried about my children when I went to work, I always knew they were in good hands.
