Services
Stop & Play was inspired and founded by Marlo and Karen, a couple of moms who saw a need in our community for flexible, on-demand, hourly childcare. The dream was to provide a safe, clean, nurturing, wholesome space where parents can feel good about dropping their kids off to take some much-needed time for themselves while their kids are engaged, screen-free, socializing, and learning through play.
A: We are an hourly, on-demand, drop-in childcare facility. You can pay by the hour as a non-member or as a member. Members have the added benefit of having the option to purchase packages of hours that get them better rates. All of our pricing info can be found on our website. A: The answer is not so black and white.

All of our staff have current background screenings, CPR & First aid training, Fire safety training, and the 45 hour child care training through DCF. In addition, we administer personality assessments to candidates. We provide our staff with mandatory annual in-service training to further develop their knowledge, skills, and professional and personal growth, and we offer optional educational workshops quarterly for our staff and the community.

My son loves Stop and Play! He always seems to have the time of his life at the end of the day. We truly appreciate how caring the teachers are and more importantly, we are happy that our son is learning how to interact with other kids, learning how to share, and to be a good little boy. Stop & Play is fantastic! Claudia and Marlo created a cozy environment that makes both kids and parents happy. The “on demand” flexibility allows parents to manage their time as best. As a self employed interior designer I get to drop my baby off any time i have a jobsite or a meeting without having to call in before. And perhaps i get to enjoy my baby at home if i have some spare time, without having to justify it or pay for a service i don’t need.

THE BEST SCHOOL FOR MY KID. I'm so happy that I found stop and play and I visited and research a lot of different daycares before I found them. I came from California and work all day. I needed a place that could give the same love and education that I want to give myself. I couldn't be more happier with my decision. All the staff is amazing and caring! My son has develop so much and I can thank you guys enough.

Stop and Play is a nothing short of amazing! As a mom of a homeschooler, it works perfectly if I need to drop off for a few hours on last minute notice. I also work weekends - so having availability on a Saturday is a must for me! Everyone is so kind, the owners are great, and my child loves it! They're always doing fun activities and learning. It is a comfortable, clean environment and super organized. Not sure what I would do without them! Try it out, you won't regret it!

Stop & Play goes far and beyond of providing the best childcare services in South Florida, we are daily impressed by their level of professionalism and ethics. After a long time touring preschools, we finally found Stop and Play and we knew right away it would be the perfect fit for our son. Its with a heavy heart that I leave this review... I really wanted to love this place and I've had plans to take my child here since they first opened. I feel like informed consent is our human right and if I was a parent leaving my child here I would want to know. This facility is right under a 5g tower and the emf it is emitting is WELL above the safe range. Ive made an attempt to speak with the owner Marlo about this and she did not want to hear it and hung up on me.. before hanging up she told me

We LOVE Stop and Play!!!! ))) I can not say enough words to express my gratitude for Stop and Play. Every staff member is so kind and attentive. I love that I can drop off my child whenever it is convenient for me. My daughter loves to spend her time at Stop and Play. She is so happy there. They spend good amount of time outside on their backyard. The staff members use every precautions possible due to Covid 19. I feel very safe sending my daughter there! And I would recommend this place if you are looking for a safe place where your child will feel happy and loved!

I give Stop & Play 5 stars because my children have the most amazing experience when they are there. We use Stop & Play every few weeks and sometimes weekly for our kids. As a full-time entrepreneur, I love the flexibility they provide through being a drop-in facility. And my husband and I use it for date nights occasionally as well.

Love, love, love this place. It is exactly what our community needed. The teachers are patient, engaging, and all around phenomenal. The activities done each day are well thought-out and incredibly educational. Each day I pick up my son, I'm amazed by all the fun activities he embarks on. I've seen him change so much since starting Stop and Play. His creativity has soared!

Our nearly two year old son has been attending Stop & Play for a few months now, and he has an incredible time each day. Not only does he enjoy the learn-through-play environment, but he loves the staff members! When I pick him up he always waves goodbye and blows kisses to the team, this is a testament to the love they share, and the abundant space they create. If you're on the fence, give it a shot--drop your babe off for an hour, go and have a delicious mint lemonade at Miami Squeeze, and at pickup you will more than likely see your kid's face lit up from all the excitement experienced
