Dr. Escobar attended dental school at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. During her time there, her dedication to the profession of dentistry was clearly demonstrated by her clinical and classroom performance. Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Jernell Escobar became interested in healthcare while serving her country as a Public Health technician for the United States Air Force.
After seven years of military service, Dr. Escobar was honorably discharged from the Air Force having garnered multiple awards and service commendations. Upon completion of her service, Dr. Escobar focused her attention on completing her undergraduate degree at San Jose State University. She graduated, with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.

Your initial appointment usually will consist of an examination and review of your treatment options. Usually, treatment can be done or started the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible. If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day. We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting. Due to the fact Dr. Escobar provides many types of dental services, various circumstances may lengthen the time allocated for a procedure.
For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. It has been many years since I visited a Dentist. The Office as a whole was kind, and made it easy to want to return. The knowledge and expertise's of the Dentist, Dental Hygienist and Staff were exceptional. The entire staff is efficient, kind, and personable! I appreciate seeing Dr. Escobar every time as well, to know that my oral care is not only a priority, but that it is in optimal care. Was referred to Dr. Escobar by my previous dentist from out of the area. And I am definitely happy that I made the call. She answered all of my questions thoroughly, and even referred me to the periodontist to remove my wisdom teeth. Her staff was spot on, and the hygienist on duty did a magnificent job. Going back in a couple of months for a follow up. Definitely worth the short trip from Hollister

I just don't have enough good things to say about Dr. Escobar's office. Everyone and I do mean Everyone in the office was just so polite and willing to just be as polite and cordial as you can every ask for. Paula was my hygienist and she was absolutely a DREAM!!! They provided detailed answers to all my questions and were genuinely interested in what I wanted to say and how I felt. I asked about new optional procedures and they weighed the pros and cons for me and gave me the facts to decide. I LOVE it there...they've treated me like family from the first day I went there some years ago..

So amazing that Dr. Escobar donated beautiful gift baggies of new tooth brushes and tooth paste to our campers at the SVMH Asthma Camp. Our favorite dental practice of all time and I have spent my fair share of time in a dentists chair! Quality dental work and warm caring environment. My 2 and 4 year old are excited for their visits and my… husband no longer belly aches anout going. So glad we found this gilroy gem! It’s been at least 5 years and we have no intention of ever leaving!

I have just recently started seeing Dr. Escobar and I think she is wonderful! She and her staff made me feel welcome and comfortable right away. In the past, I was ridiculously scared of the dentist. Dr. Escobar, her staff, and my hygienist Paula are the best. Also, she has the most beautiful office :)

I can honestly say that this is the first dentist in my life that I enjoy going to. Not only is Dr. Escobar extremely professional, she is also very welcoming and patient. She takes care to ensure that not only does she have all the information she needs, but she also takes the time to ensure that I understand as well. The staff is also very kind, accommodating, enjoyable, and are ready and willing to answer any questions that I have. I live and work in Salinas, and it's worth taking the time to come to Gilroy. I have just recently moved from another dentist to Dr. Jernell and absolutely love her and her team. They are very patient, take the time to explain what is happening and explore what works best for me and my family. I have since moved my entire family of 5 over to her practice and even my 3 small children ages 10,9 and 7 are happy to go to the dentist now. I highly recommend Dr. Jernell and her team and appreciate her process from start to finish. Don't forget to ask for the warm neck pillow !!!

I really like Dr Escobar and her team. The office is comfortable and they make sure all the treatments are explained clearly. They are very flexible and accommodating to schedules and treatment plans. I am listening to relaxing music right now as I write this and was offered coffee or tea when I was seated in the treatment room. Text appointment reminders are also great. Treatments are done with expert care and with a gentle touch. I can't recommend them enough!
