For the most natural look, you can't beat wood. The most common wood is cedar or redwood, but we can make a fence from just about any wood. Boards can be used with either wood or metal posts and can be installed in a variety of styles. An elegant and virtually maintenance free system that provides beauty with unobstructed views.
Custom fence fabrication includes the design and construction of a custom look that brings out the best features of your home. Wrought iron is the most popular material when customizing a fence, but most fence materials can be customized the way you dream, just ask. We have and can install a gate opener or gate operator for nearly every gated application from residential to commercial.
We strongly recommend treating any wood fence with stain or paint to protect your investment from the sun and moisture. Wait a period of thirty (30) to sixty (60) days after installation to apply any paint or stain. This will allow moisture and the mill glaze to evaporate and burn off of the wood. Apply stain/paint with a professional sprayer.
4" x 4" pressure treated wood posts: Treated to prevent termites from burrowing into the post and eating it, although moisture can rot out wood posts of course. Postmaster galvanized steel posts: Constructed from recycled structural steel and heavily galvanized, will never warp or rot and guarenteed with a 15 year Limited Warranty.
Our Aluminum fences are covered by a Manufacturers Limited Lifetime Warranty. The extruded aluminum framework shall be subject to a six (6) stage pretreatment/wash followed by an electrostat spray application of a "no-mar" TGIC polyester powder coat finish., which provides the protection neccesary to withstand adverse environmental conditions.

Took 6 weeks to get someone out to look at the job. The guy seemed nice and competent. Told me he would have a written estimate emailed to me the next day. He never got back to me. Called the office, and they apparently had to twist his arm to provide the estimate. Then I asked for a potential modification to the job, and I was totally blown off - again told he would look into it, again never heard anything. The whole experience left a very sour taste. Too bad because I've heard they do good work

These guys were awesome! We needed a quote and they were able to squeeze us in since our fence was already down. Jeremy was nice to work with, communication could have been a little quicker on proposal but that being sad I know fence companies are sooo busy right now so not complaining. He also messaged me with updates/confirmation for instal. The instal team can I just say how happy I was the way we started the project. The lead guy wanted to walk the backyard with me and review what we were doing before we started. Their team was here everyday on time and let us know where they ended for the

Angel and Mikael build it from scratch. They arrived on time. They worked efficiently. Polite, professional, outstanding, hard workers.
And, we now have a hand built, beautiful fence wood fence that will last for years.

Bear Fence installed the full wood fence around my back yard years ago. I called them recently because I needed to replace the two gates on both sides of the front of my home. Jeremy Blackburn came out, very friendly, very professional, said no problem, I’ll send quotes. Never heard from him again. Left email and phone messages, no return. It may because they are not interested in small jobs, as a “professional” company, it seems that stating so and perhaps recommending someone else would have been in line. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

As others here have stated I too have had previous fence work done by Bear Fence over the years, and it was a pleasant experience. However, I recently tried to contact them about getting a quote for a new custom wall/iron fence in my front yard, and had ZERO response! I left voice mails on 3 separate days, and also e-mailed them with my request for quote, with absolutely NO reply from them. I am a small business owner myself and completely ignoring your customers is definitely NOT the way to keep your business going, especially in these times. I have since received quotes from two other local fence

I reached out to Chris at Bear fence because my 10 month old decided that he was going to start walking and I urgently needed a fence around my pool to keep my child safe. Chris came to my house the following day and was professional and kind. At the end of our discussion he created a fair estimate for me and within four days he was at my house installing the fence. I think this company is the best in SD . I interviewed 4 fence companies but Bear had the most comfortable sales pitch . Extremely courteous , professional and helpful . A few years after my fence was installed I needed some help with some damage I did and they could t be more Knowledgable and customer service oriented . Take my advise , I'm in sales and recognize genuine people . Thanks Bear Fence !

I only gave this one star because no stars wasn't an option. Jeff installed a fence and gate on the side of my house in 2015. Three years later and I'm still having continuous issues with the gate not latching. Over the last three years, I've had him and/or his workers at my house replacing fence posts, adding additional screws, etc but to no avail. I spent $1,450 on a fence with a gate that won't close and presents a safety issue (dog can't be secured in the yard with a non-closing gate). Complete waste of time and money for something that should have been a no-brainer

I am just so impressed with this company!!! Not only is my fence I purchased from Bear 16 years ago still going strong and beautiful, but when I need assistance ...(ya...16 years later... )they come out so fast and we're just life savers. Fixing and repairing and moving.
