Established in the late 1970's, Central Animal Hospital has been serving the St. Petersburg and greater Tampa Bay community for more than 40 years. In 1979, Mark Brown began working at Central Animal Hospital as an animal caregiver in the kennel. He soon worked his way up to veterinary technician.

In 1981, Mark Brown left Central Animal Hospital to pursue his undergraduate education and his doctor of veterinary medicine degree at Auburn University.Dr. Brown returned to Central Animal Hospital in 1990 as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Brown and his staff are committed to promoting and providing the very best possible health care for pets, educating the community on responsible pet care and enhancing the human-animal bond.

Dr. Mark Brown and Central Animal Hospital enjoy a long and happy history together. Born and raised in Florida, Dr. Brown began working in the Central Animal Hospital kennel in 1979 and quickly worked his way up to a veterinary technician position. He then left to earn his undergraduate and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees at Auburn University, after which Central Animal Hospital welcomed him back as an associate veterinarian.

We are committed to keeping your pets healthy and happy through routine annual and semi-annual wellness visits. Our wellness exams include lab work and a vaccine evaluation to ensure pets are vaccinated against diseases with the goal of tailoring vaccination schedules to each pet's risk. We also offer nutritional counseling tailored to each pet's need.
