Great experience with my repair.
I was in an accident and the repairs were done quickly, but due to labor and shipping issues, my part was not able to be shipped from the manufacturer for months.
Coats auto body always gave me, at minimum, two updates per week and went above and beyond to get the part from another source.
Not only did they get me back in my car months sooner than if I had to wait for the dealer, but they even cleaned and detailed the car before I picked it up.
Couldn't be more happy with the results and service.
I highly recommend them if you need auto work done.

I had repair work done on my 2020 Tahoe. They did not provide me updates for my vehicle and it took longer than they initially stated. They also returned my truck muddy on both of my running boards and a very strong paint smell on the inside of the vehicle. They also did not take care of a ding on the hood as they promised. Not happy with the experience was referred to them by Geico.

I've had the fortune or (misfortune) to use Coat's Auto Body twice in the past six years. As a preferred State Farm Insurance option, I've used them for damage for my Mazda 3s. And overall, they've done a very good job in multiple situations.

Just had Coats fix up a ding in my bumper that was affecting my blind spot monitors on my 2020 Mazda last week and cannot rate them highly enough! The girls in the front office, as well as their production manager, kept me up to date on the repairs every step of the way so there were absolutely no surprises. They helped get everything lined up with my insurance before the repair and their customer service was top notch overall. They made the whole process super easy for me. I was rear-ended and given a choice to go where I would like to get my car fixed. I chose Coats, and they did not disappoint. I had to get some work done to my rear passenger side door in July. The door was dented and the paint was pretty torn up. I was a little worried because my insurance only partnered with certain auto body shops, and the reviews weren't all great. But Coats was the right choice. They were professional and patiently answered all of my questions (I had a lot since I had never gone through a repair like this before.) On top of that, my car came out looking brand new. Top notch service with a team that truly cares about your vehicle and your satisfaction. My vehicle looked better than it did when I purchased it! Although the repair time took a little longer than expected, they were very communicative throughout the entire process and explained in detail what was occurring. Customer service goes above and beyond what is expected. Fought for me to help reconcile a discrepancy with my insurance company and followed up with me a few days later after they completed repairs to make sure the issue was handled. Great service! All of the employees that I encountered were friendly and helpful! They are committed to ensuring everything is repaired well and will listen to your feedback. I came back once for a bumper and another time to fix a keyless entry issue. Both times the staff were amazing and the repairs were super fast!! They also have a wonderful front desk team who communicate well, providing great customer service and making car headaches a thing of the past.

Coats Auto in Garner did an amazing job fixing my Hyundai Tucson. When I left, I felt like I was driving a brand new car again. It had been cleaned on the inside and the repairs were even better than I imagined. My husband had ab accident and I picked this shop for repairs. I went in and everyone I spoke with was nice and pleasant. The estimator looked and damages on car and explained everything to me in detail. The two young ladies was awesome in the office. I was able to pickup a rental car at the same location. This is the second car I have had repaired at this body shop. This time it was my Lexus that hit a deer. I was worried it would not come back in the shape it was before i hit the deer. It They did a great job getting it back to original condition especially with matching the paint. Big fan of theirs. Their work's always fast and good, and their communication is wonderful. I am always updated of body work progress and called ahead of time for appointment reminders.
They make renting a car while mine is in the shop seamless with Enterprise on site. They also make it very easy to deal with insurance for claims and I appreciate how stress-free they make things for their customers.

I had an experience with Coats this summer; bringing in one of our vehicles for repairs after being rear ended.
I specifically went well out of my way in terms of distance to choose Coats because of their high ratings. I wanted a shop that would do a meticulous and professional repair job right the first time so I wouldn't have to deal with any sort of residual issues.
Unfortunately, I didn't find this to be the case dealing with Coats. Although the staff I interacted with were friendly, I got the impression the shop itself is a high yield, high churn shop possibly due to their insurance

Had a pretty impressive dent on my hood from a work place incedent. The third party company that damaged the truck told me to get a couple estimates and that they would get a hold of who ever I decided to get the work done by and they would cover the charges with credit card over the phone. I decided to go with Coats and they were very easy to deal with with the pay by phone situation of the third party. They got the work finished quickly and even stayed open an extra 30 minutes the night they finished so I could pick up my truck. They did an amazing job and made the experience easy going.

If you've ever been in an accident, you know that it is so stressful dealing with insurance companies and making sure you find the best place to take care of your car and I want everyone to know that the staff at Coats was absolutely amazing! The ladies at the front desk were so sweet and helpful and Ernie did an excellent job on my car and in a timely manner. He even contacted the insurance company so I didn't have to worry about a thing. A rep from Enterprise picked me up at Coats so I could get my rental and when my car was finished, I just went to Enterprise to drop my rental off

After a nasty ice storm we had, I unfortunately used an ice scraper to "tap" off ice all over my car. It left major scuffs & some dents - it basically looked like my car had serious hail storm damage.
I had taken my car into Coats for an estimate. Roger was extremely thorough in estimating all the damage & what it would take to repair. While he wasn't the most friendly & pleasant person, he was extremely thorough & knowledgable. Sadly, he initially told me three weeks for my repair & I couldn't get my car there to work on
