Stanley Specialty Pharmacy originates from the old Stanley Drugs corner drugstore in the Elizabeth neighborhood and has long been a staple of the Charlotte community. Whether needing a prescription filled or a milkshake from the pharmacy's soda fountain, many Charlotteans have fond memories of this Charlotte landmark.
At Stanley Specialty Pharmacy, we are committed to providing innovative, customized compounded pharmaceutical solutions to help improve our patients' quality of life. In 1991, Doug Yoch earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and then returned to school earning his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in 2001 from the University of South Carolina. After falling in love with compounding in school, he took a position with Stanley Apothecary. In 2004, he purchased Stanley Apothecary which is now Stanley Specialty Pharmacy.

Can't say enough good about my experience with Stanley Drugs.
The Pharmacist who helped me, Greg McKettrick, was one of the kindest, most empathetic medical professionals I have experienced. He went beyond the "second mile" to work with me through a complicated pharmaceutical situation, and hung in there with me until we found the solution. Quite rare service in these days.
Hats off to a great organization & individual.

Today I went to pick up my medicine that was specifically compounded just for me at Stanley’s! When I pulled up a nice young woman came outside in a mask and took my information kindly. She had seen my car immediately before I even had to call to say I was there to pick up a script, which was wonderful customer service/prompt. After that—Greg, a man with the pharmacy, came out wearing a mask for Covid-19 precautions as well to pass me my medication. Greg was immensely helpful and handed me my script while in my car so I never had to get out nor turn off my car. At my window while socially distanced

Great place to work! Patient care is the first priority. The entire staff strives to ensure that every patient..man, woman, child, or pet...receives the highest quality products and a huge dose of kindness.
The staff is highly trained and the pharmacy employs rigorous safeguards.

I"ve been getting prescriptions filled here for at least 7 years and never had anything but exceptional customer service. Its too bad that Yelp couldn't just change the address rather than generating a completely new listing and wiping out all of the old reviews in the process. Alas, the perks for the newer location is a lot more parking. Its also a lot easier to get in and out of. All of the same folks that we knew and loved from Monroe Rd are over here as well.
