With over 16 years of experience in the field, Amadea brings expertise and a fresh perspective on how to treat your concerns. She received her Master of Acupuncture degree from NIAOM/Bastyr University in Washington State, was board certified in 2003 and is licensed by Illinois. As a licensed acupuncturist, she has nearly 2000 hours of training in school whereas a certified acupuncturist generally has closer to 200.

Pain Relief - Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs both help quicken healing from any injury or trauma. Generally within 3 sessions we will have a sense if acupuncture will address your concern. Most pain can be addressed by acupuncture and it varies depending on how many sessions you might take to heal. Acupuncture began in China at least 2500 years ago. While many people talk about it as an energy medicine, it is actually a physical medicine that works with the nervous and vascular systems. It is a highly refined medicine developed in China to keep the Emperor and his family living long and vital lives.
At Pure Acupuncture & Wellness we offer personalized Chinese Medicine granule formulas. Granules are herbs ground into a powder that are dissolved in hot water. They are effective and easy to take. In each formula, there may be five or even twenty-five herbs, depending on what you need. So while you are taking multiple herbs, you have the convenience of only taking one supplement.
Symptom relief - You may come in for a series of acupuncture treatments to treat a symptom that's currently bothering you. We offer an introductory package of three sessions for you to try out acupuncture and we can discuss then how to move forward from your introductory sessions. Sustained Wellness Package - If you are looking for more and are tired of not feeling well, and are concerned about your health as you get older, we offer a program.

Pure Acupuncture and Wellness is the best acupuncturist in Knoxville. The office smells like heaven when you walk in and I could feel the stress melting away. I was excited to receive a spa like experience during my treatment. My BCBS insurance was accepted for my treatments. Pure Acupuncture and Wellness just got certified to treat patients covered by VA Medical Insurance. I was treated with the upmost kindness and respect. I really appreciate the professionalism. Finally I found an acupuncturist that really cares.

Pay now or pay a LOT later!!! Do you know just how much I HATE needles and blood????? Like, I’ll drive around the block instead of driving passed a blood-drive van/bus... I HATE BLOOD!!!!!!!! Ok, but acupuncture is different!!! The needles are not being used to draw blood... if you see any at all!! And, Amadea knows how to make you feel incredibly relaxed and comfortable!!! I started seeing Amadea 3 months ago for headaches and cramps associated with my endometriosis. She has not only healed both of those issues but has helped me relieve so much stress and anxiety. I started seeing Amadea for acupuncture and recently I’ve also been using the traditional Chinese herbal remedies she offers - among other benefits, they stopped my hot flashes completely! I’m not opposed to western medicine, but I rarely find that I need to see a doctor; traditional Chinese medicine seems more gentle and natural, and has been effective for me. The office is beautiful and she is warm and wise. I am fascinated by what she can tell from taking my pulses and really “listening” to the body. Try it out!

I had a severe inner ear illness that left me miserable and severely sick. I went to the Immediate Care, the ER and a nuerologist and no one could tell me what was wrong... I was at that point of giving up and having no hope at all. I received Pure Acupuncture business card very randomly before I got sick and called Amadeus because I was really… desperate for relief. WOW.... seriously WOW!! She is awesome, kind and so knowledgeable and I had instant relief after leaving her office. Seriously, she is by far the best at what she does.. thank you Amadea for everything thank you thank you!!
