NW Event Sound

We had a great wedding, but the DJ did not contribute at all to making our day special. At least one thing goes wrong at a wedding, and for us, that was NW Event Sound. And while it didn't "ruin" our wedding, it left a sour taste in our mouths and we wished we had hired someone else. We spoke with Pete leading up to our wedding and was excited to use his services. A week before the wedding, he got hurt and called us to tell us he found a replacement. We get it, life happens. His replacement was an employee, Ed Morris. I was treated so poorly by these folks. Our wedding reception got cancelled due to covid and Pete and I had in our contact that in that case with enough notice my retainer would be refunded. When cancelling I talked to Pete who enthusiastically said of course the retainer would be returned and that it was actually against state law not to do so. He said he'd get it to me in a few days. That was back in August.

I called him multiple times to check in on the status of the refund, waiting enough time in case there were issues on his end. I sent emails. Nothing, no response. I finally called

I really wanted to write a good thing about NW Event Sound. My experience with NW Event Sound was a total disaster. I originally signed a contract with DJ Pete. But due to some unforeseen reason, 3 weeks before our wedding day we got an invoice for the remaining balance that we need to pay with a message saying that DJ Pete couldn't be there.

My entire ceremony was ruined by the DJ playing the wrong songs, music cutting in and out, etc. Our reception entrance was over an hour late because he didn’t know what he was doing, and they didn’t play any of our songs on the list we provided them. I was then promised a refund but after following up, I was basically told that they didn’t believe me, none of it happened (even though I had video evidence as well as emails written to the company supporting my claim from other vendors as well as guests) and that they would not refund me. We hired DJ Pete for our wedding and I would honestly say spend the extra money and hire a better professional DJ. We were super excited because DJ Pete seemed reputable and he had great reviews but he last minute (literally a few days before the wedding) told us that DJ Troy would go instead.

So many things went wrong with our sound. They claimed their computer died and that he had to use a back up and that's why things went wrong but here are just a few things:

While we haven't had the chance to use Pete for his DJ services yet, I want to give him some love. He has been amazing with his communication and promptness. Our wedding date was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and Pete was extremely accommodating when we had to postpone everything. That means the world to me when things are already so stressful. We look forward to having him DJ for our big day!

NW Event Sound came through for us! We had a DJ booked for a wedding I was coordinating on Oct 3rd, and they cancelled last minute! Pete was available and did a great job! He definitely knows what he is doing. He is great at reading wedding cues and keeping the flow of the reception going! Thank so much Pete and crew! We hired Pete to DJ for our wedding. He was fantastic and I would both recommend him and love to work with him again in the future. He asked great questions, proactively provided recommendations and suggestions, but was also very flexible and accommodating. He was incredibly responsive and communicative, and a true professional. The rest of our wedding vendor 'team' really enjoyed working with him and several of our guests commented on his great music plays throughout cocktail hour, dinner and dancing.

Pete is amazing! I had talked with a few DJ services, and nothing came close to him. The cost was more than reasonable. He is very very responsive to emails and questions. He accommodated all of our requests and had everything I needed to make my wedding perfect. All of my guests complimented on how wonderful he was. My photographer even asked for his info for future brides needed services. Do not hesitate to email him for any event. Thanks again!

Emcee Pete was the DJ at our wedding this weekend. Don’t let his reasonable price fool you into thinking it’s poor quality. He gives you more than what you pay for. I would very highly recommend Pete and NW Event Sound. He communicates great and responds very quickly to emails. We hired Pete for our wedding and he did a fantastic job. He was at our venue for quite some time and did not charge by the hour. The night went off almost Completely perfect. I wanted to give a 4.5 star rating but the system won't let me. Thanks Pete for helping make our night to great!
