Premier Transportation Services is located at the south end of downtown Memphis where we work to be your preferred passenger ground transportation provider. Our goal is to efficiently transport our passengers in a safe, polite and timely manner at a fair price.
Our history goes back over 160 years, beginning with Patterson Transfer & Storage, which began business in 1856, shuttling passengers and their baggage between the main train stations in Memphis.Out of this company grew Yellow Cab Company of Memphis. In 1989, we formed a separate corporation, Checker Cab Company of Memphis.

The service picked us on-time at our hotel for the southern heritage classic and the vehicle was clean, but unfortunately the route to the football game wasn't well well planned and coordinated with traffic police for city of Memphis to avoid closed streets. Unfortunately, we ended up being on the shuttle for over 3 hours on what should have been 30 minutes ride.

Arriving in the wee hours at Memphis International is a daunting prospect at anytime of the year, for anyone. The airport traffic rules have changed since the airport put in a parking structure and directions are confusing even in the light of day. I knew Premiere Transportation would be the best bet for a five-star pick up given the hour and the passenger: my nonagenarian mother, soon to reach 96 years of age. A Special Services wheelchair assistant brought her to Baggage Claim as her traveling caregiver walked alongside, and I reached Premiere's driver just as she connected with my mother and

I highly recommend Premier Transportation! They did an excellent job with the transportation services for our son’s wedding! We live out of state and needed transportation services for family and out of town guests from the hotel to the wedding venue. We used Premier to transport a group to a lunch celebration on 2/2/2021. Percy was the driver and he was outstanding. He showed up 15 minutes early and took great care of our group. The car was spotless and Percy was professional and a very careful driver. He wore his mask the entire time and the car had been sanitized. We felt completely safe and comfortable the entire day. We contracted Premier for our daughter's wedding -- guests from the hotel to the church / reception / back to the hotel -- and the wedding party from the church to reception to Raiford's! They were great -- on time (actually early), super courteous -- and have a pretty extensive fleet so the size of vehicle matched the # of people being transported. We were even able to rent one of the antiques for the wedding party to make their ride really unique. Highly recommend.

We booked Premier transportation for a bus and an executive car for all of our wedding party needs. They delivered a fantastic job with a convoluted schedule and complicated logistics. Very professional organization with outstanding, clean, and spotless vehicles. The friendly staff made for a stress free and pleasant trip.
