Our Pet Hospital in New York City. What's our story? We're so glad you asked! St. Marks Veterinary Hospital has been a fixture in the East Village of NYC since 1986 when Dr. Sally Haddock first opened our doors. She and her husband conducted neighborhood research to determine whether the pet owners of our community needed a local veterinarian, and they sure did!
Your pet is an important part of your family, and when he or she is ill, you want the best medical care available. At St. Marks Veterinary Hospital, we provide pet wellness examinations for pets of all ages, specifically catered to their life stage and health care needs. We offer a variety of health maintenance services, including medicated baths and an in-house pharmacy.
In order to maintain our high standard of service, we require that payment be made at the time services are rendered. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges. St. Marks Veterinary Hospital is happy to accept Cash, Major Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), and CareCredit.
We are actively involved in our community, extending our love for animals and NYC even further beyond our own doorstep. We work with NYSAVE, providing emergency care to pet owners with financial need. We love our own pets so much that we want to do whatever we can to ensure all pets and their owners can have those wonderful, lifelong bonds.
They are the most dedicated, professional, kind and caring veterinarians I have ever visited. This is my second cat whom I have gone to them for their whole lives! I highly recommend them. I changed to St Marks Veterinary Hospital 2 years ago. The doctors there are great my dog Barron had a lot of anxiety going to the vet and they made him more comfortable there.

I would not recommend this place at all. They do not return phone calls on a timely basis. It’s takes them 3 days to send a fax verification to an online pharmacy. My pet was prescribed antibiotics for 14 days, they only give medication enough for 3-4 days at a time, forcing you to come back to purchase more medication. The Vet is more… interested in explaining to you the price of services and how you can pay for services vs the well being of your pet.
