The Maryland State Child Care Association (MSCCA) is the premiere professional association for licensed child care and early learning centers operating in Maryland and for associated businesses and individuals that support the mission of the Association. We thrive from the support of business members through their membership, event sponsorship, donations, and industry support to our centers.
We are sharing this resource and guidance document on the American Rescue Plan Act Stabilization Grants from our partners at First Children's Finance. Child Care/Early Childhood Education businesses are angry, disappointed, and frustrated, rightfully so - today is the last day of September and stabilization rescue grants that were expected in September have not arrived.

Services
Maryland's highly rated educational system didn't happen by accident. Behind the scenes, teams of professionals like the Maryland State Child Care Association (MSCCA) members are making sure our children are ready for Kindergarten. They do this by providing the best early care and education programs, teachers and opportunities available.
The "Better Together" grant offers $5,000 in funding to pay for direct services or products towards any training, equipment, curriculum, or quality improvements needed that help achieve any of the seven goals described in the Maryland Families Engage Early Childhood Family Engagement Framework. This grant will be awarded twice a year, once at the annual Conference by the Sea in the spring & again at the fall Leadership Symposium.
Our Legislative Committee focuses on the activities of the Maryland General Assembly and the Maryland Congressional delegation. The focus is on ensuring that the laws governing child care and financing of programs for children and child care providers enable our members to participate fully without unnecessary obstacles to the daily operations of their centers.
Understanding that highly trained practitioners are the foundation for quality early learning experiences, The Child Care Company develops and delivers training for pre-service and practicing early childhood educators. Our continuum of learning and support activities are designed to advance each practitioner's knowledge, skills, dispositions, and practices.
We want to keep you in touch with all the exciting events and news within the childcare industry and our organization. The MSCCA APP is a quick way to gain access to an important MSCCA website area whether you are online or offline through your cell phone and desktop (please note some iPhones may not be supported as of this time).
