However, even if your teeth have been missing for years, it still may be possible you could be a candidate for dental implants although additional procedures may be needed in order to ensure your jawbone is healthy enough for a dental implant. Although dentures or partial dentures, known as partials, may be suitable for some patients, for others they may be an aggravation or embarrassing to deal with.
This is an ideal option for patients who wear dentures or whose teeth are too far-gone beyond saving, meaning all, or multiple teeth have been extracted. In the past, patients with full mouth extractions were left with not so desirable options, such as dentures and partials, which provide only limited chewing functions.
