I cannot personally speak ill of the Seabury Hill services, as they have always been polite and professional.
However they do work with some extremelly unrecommedable landlords. One of them (who owns several homes in the New Haven area) has given me the worst rental experience of my adult life throughout the 2 years at his property (having lived in dozens of places throughout the last 20 years).
He would come at 8.30AM on Saturdays to sniff around the house, being over-zealous of anything happening, writing detailed and unpractical contracts which he would later not abide by, and kept trying

Jack was a joy to work with. He is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable about the area--and very responsive! We were navigating selling a rented property (while balancing dual careers and life with a toddler!) and Jack made everything so easy. He communicated with our tenants, coordinated staging and cleaning the property, scheduled showings, and walked us through the contract process. We had three offers within our first day on the market! I highly recommend Jack for any seller (or buyer)!

Melanie is an absolute GEM of an agent. We worked with Melanie as first time buyers. She didn't simply guide us through the process (which, I'll add, she did so wonderfully), but she really cared about finding the exact right fit for us. The COVID Pandemic made buying real estate very challenging and scary particularly for out of state buyers. However, Jack Hill from Seabury-Hill Realtors was a God send. The agency itself is very good but after you sign your lease and you have to deal with the landlord it becomes a nightmare...every interaction with the landlord is horrible they treat you bad as if they were making you a favor when you are actually paying them.. feel free to contact me if you want to know where not to live..

We were on a really tight schedule and moving here from Philadelphia so we had a really small window to find something that we loved. Cathy was very friendly and took a sincere interest in finding us an apartment that would fit our needs.

Jenn is by far the best realtor there. She was so patient during our search which took a LONG time. She was always readily accessible, and was really honest about what would be best for my boyfriend and I, and what wouldn't. Once we settled on a place, Cathy took over. And I found it really disappointing that she took over for Jenn (I think because Jenn was on vacation) Cathy was very demanding on getting her money, and not pleasant to talk to, like Jenn was.

Working with Seabury Hill was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. My husband and I worked with them in the fall of 2011 and spring of 2012 on finding an apartment in New Haven. We dealt primarily with Cathy. We were looking for a 2 bedroom apartment that allowed dogs. She brought us to an apartment on Lawrence Street (which was basically the third floor of a one family home) and conveniently left out a whole lot of details that are absolutely crucial to making the right decision on selecting an apartment.

My boyfriend and I had to find and move into an apartment within A DAY after we moved into an apartment where the ceiling fell in (we used Pike International--see review) and they were just outstanding. They worked on the weekend with us to get us settled into a place that was less expensive and much bigger than the one we moved out of. Seabury is a professional and respectable family operation.

I have worked with this company both as someone trying to find an apartment, and, more recently, someone whose landlord hired them to rent their property. I am never dealt with a more unprofessional person. Lack of notice, relying on the tenants to be there to have a key (actually expecting this), calling repeatedly when people are out of the country, asking the tenants to move out early, expecting tenants to give notice to other tenants, etc. The list truly goes on and on.
I would like to think that our experience is only with one real estate agent and not the whole company, but our experience
