Children as early as age 7 can be evaluated to help determine possible future orthodontic needs. By this time the permanent first molars and incisors should be in and crowding or crossbite problems become evident. If treatment is necessary at this early age it is considered "early" or Phase I treatment.

Mortenson Orthodontics has been a great place for my kids to get braces! I have had two sons and now a daughter get their braces there. Dr. Mortenson and his staff are amazing with pre-teens/teens! They have always communicated clearly so that we have known exactly what to expect and what will happen next. My kids have felt very comfortable through the whole process of getting braces!

My son just got his braces and I notice that the staff is amazing. He was so nervous that he kept asking them questions and they answer all of his question. They made him laugh and helped him feel comfortable. DMD Darron explains everything in detail and he is very nice. The office has a comfortable feeling as well as the staff, I would definitely recommend this place if your kiddos are in need of braces.

Hands down best orthodontist!! Dr Mortenson and his staff are the absolute best. Always patient and understanding, and explain everything to me and then you my son before and as they are doing things. And what's even better is they are in the same building as Dr Welch the kids dentist!! Would recommend them if you are looking for an orthodontist, they also have a couple other locations.

I have been around Dr. Mortenson since I was about 8 years old. I watched him as he worked on my brothers mouth for 3 years and then he finally saw me as a patient when I was 15. I couldn't be happier with the service I received from this office. Mary was my dental assistant and was absolutely amazing. We still hold a relationship to this day. I view Dr. Mortenson as a prime example of what a orthodontist should be. He is very sociable, friendly, profession, and he explains things very well. I 100% recommend him. I also saw his brother, Dr Mortenson, for my root canal and had a wonderful experience
