Dr. Peterson grew up in North Ogden, Utah, but decided snow is overrated and migrated to sunny Arizona to start his career. It only took one winter to convince him to stay forever! Before escaping the cold he graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah with a bachelor's degree in biology.
No one here at Peterson Family Orthodontics gets any of those goopy impressions that make you gag! Instead, we use the latest advances in orthodontic technology, including digital impression scanners. These digital scanners are the future of orthodontics, and we have fully embraced the technology here at our practice.
Due to the smaller size of the brackets, modern braces keep mouth irritation to a minimum, unlike the braces of old which many people remember. Metal braces are generally the most durable because they are made from a mix of metals such as stainless steel and nickel. They are a great choice for teens and adults alike.

This place has been amazing. All the staff are friendly, Dr Peterson sees my son every visit to direct treatment. My son has sensory sensitivity and we have been working on brushing more thoroughly and consistently, and the staff have never been rude or condescending when talking to him about it. He doesn’t dread his visits and the improvements to his smile are already very noticeable. This office was competitively priced as well.

I received a big check in the mail from Peterson Family Orthodontics. Apparently my insurance paid more than the estimate. Of all my years I never realized that this could happen. That the doctor sometimes gets paid twice. Once from the insurance and once from the patient. I have never received money back before. And this is because in the past with other dentists, they kept it! I’m currently battling with a different office about this. And it’s a battle to get my money back. I really don’t even know how to express the kindness and compassion that Dr. Peterson and his staff has shown my family. My wife and I adopted our son back in May these people did everything in there power and then some to help us with getting my son his braces on him. A few weeks ago we had Our sons sister placed with us. Yes we are adopting her as well. Dr Peterson and staff has gone out of there way and gone above and beyond to help us yet again. I absolutely love Peterson Family Orthodontics! I am finishing up my treatment and couldn’t be more pleased with the results! The staff is very friendly and the office is warm and welcoming! This place is top notch! Outstanding customer service, beautiful office! So happy we chose to come here. Dr. Peterson and his staff are amazing! Very professional, caring, friendly and knowledgeable. Made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. Also very organized and detail-oriented. Lindsey was great answering all our questions and explaining everything step by step. I had such a wonderful experience from the first moment I entered the office all the way through my braces journey! The front desk and assistants were all super friendly and helpful! I was so pleased with the work Dr Peterson for my smile. Dr Peterson was very knowledgeable and always explained everything to me so I had all the information I needed to be successful. Two of my kids are currently in braces and we're hoping to get a third in braces soon. Very friendly staff, great office environment and Dr. Peterson keeps us informed on the kid's progress. My daughter and I have been seeing Dr. Peterson for a few months now. My daughter is just beginning her orthodontic life and so far we are happy with the results we have seen. I have just complete my clear aligner treatment. I had braces back in high school and over the past few years (we won't say how many years) teeth have shifted slightly and I was having some concerns. Dr. Peterson listened and the aligners have resolved my concerns. In fact, Dr. Peterson went beyond my concerns and addressed a cosmetic area on the front teeth and I can say I have a new smile and love it!

We LOVE Dr. Peterson, and the staff at Peterson Family Orthodontics!! Always straight forward, and personable. Our youngest daughter went there to correct a bite issue, and they were able correct in no time, with use of a retainer appliance. Very happy with our treatment!! I have confidence in my smile all thanks to this office. Dr Peterson was amazing and his bedside manner is simply the best. Truly amazed at my results. I wish I had just gone with traditional braces instead of messing around with Invisalign with my regular dentist first. Top pic is my final result the bottom pic is after wearing Invisalign for 2 years and 3 months. And cool thing I can use my retainer to whiten my teeth… double bonus!!
