Tim was a professor at Boston University for 25 years before retiring and expanding the inn. Victoria ran her own software training business. We now spend the bulk of the year in Key West where we own the Rose Tree House, a charming home in Old Town with a vacation apartment. But, in the summer and fall you will find us right here in Newburyport!
We love the experience of meeting new people and helping them enjoy their visits to Newburyport. The Market Street Inn has grown over the years from a two-room B&B to a complex of downtown properties that cater to vacationers and those seeking temporary housing. We are open year around. In addition to ourselves, we are fortunate to have discovered Jeff.

Services
Our buildings are classified in Newburyport's Architectural Survey as "antique structures." By their very nature the beautiful wide pine floors may tilt a bit here and there, and the walls are not exactly plum! This is part of the charm of homes that date back in some cases to pre-Revolutionary War America.
Newburyport has become a destination you won't want to miss. With its gourmet restaurants, bistros, outdoor cafes, unusual gift shops, antique shops, clothing stores, galleries, ocean beaches, saling--all of this and one hour from Boston! Oh, yes, and let us not forget fishing, boating, kayaking and whale watching.
