Campbell Fencing has been a staple of southeast Portland since the early 1950's when Roscoe Campbell opened the storefront on S.E. 82nd Ave which was the original face of our business. Following the death of Mr. Campbell in 1975, the business was purchased by brothers Daryl and Arnie Mulick who had worked for Campbell's since their youth.
Over the years, all ages of family have been the faces behind the desk whether they be taking orders, loading lumber, or installing fences. Daryl and Arnie have since retired and Campbell's has passed down to still another generation. Mike and his assistant worked steadily and efficiently, doing their best to protect LOTS of plants that had been growing against the old fence.

Steel gate frames, steel posts, and steel post brackets have been signature items for Campbell Fencing for the last 40 years. Our steel gate frames are probably the best investment you can make in your fence. They are the solution to the age-old problem of sagging and racking gates.

Called Campbell Fencing Company to setup a bid and left a VM. Mike called me back right away and after talking through what I wanted to do, he let me know that his company didn't perform the type of work I was after. He also let me know some other companies that might be able to do the work. Anyway, just a professional response and I'd readily book with Mike if my needs match the company's products in the future.

Mike, the owner, and the gentleman who works with him, did a wonderful job on my fences and gates! Definitely beyond my expectations in every way: great communication, very fair pricing, quality fences... and lots of extra help figuring out what would work in a few tricky areas. These guys really know what they're doing.

Campbell Fence team was so easy to work with throughout my fence project. They showed up on time and finished when they said they would.
Part of the fence they put in is a 6 ' privacy fence. After a few days I noticed I could see between the slats. Campbell explained that is normal expansion contraction of the wood. However, they were so kind as to add 2" slats over each expansion space to close the gaps. They were very nice about it and didn't charge for the return visit and extra work. I now have a true privacy fence and it looks good. Thank you Campbell Fencing!

Mike was prompt to respond and come out for a quote to my initial project. His prices were better than other bids and he was able to get the gate I wanted installed done quickly and the finished product was beautiful! We went with this company because it was recommended to us by a friend who builds fences professionally - and that's the word I would use to describe the quality of the material they sell. The wood was really reasonably priced and is absolutely beautiful. Perfectly straight, no dry rot or cracks up the length. Also, the guys who work there are super helpful - explained how to put together the gate and how to care for the fence. I really hope great little businesses like this stick around.

Campbells was a great help in assisting me to build a new driveway gate. I came here never having built a gate before, and with the help and excellent advice of the owner, was able to build a beautiful quality 12 foot wide gate for my driveway. The cost for the gate kit and hardware was very reasonable and the materials were completely superior to what you could get at a big box store. They custom made a gate for my project at no additional cost. My gate went up easily and works perfectly. I highly recommend Campbells if you need to build a gate or fence and need materials.

I went with this company because of the history of there business and their past customer satisfaction. They came out gave me an estimate for a private fence with a private driveway gate. The price was very reasonable so I went with them and just had them set the posts and purchased the rest of the materials from them which they delivered that same day. The quality of the product they used and brought me I give it a 5 star rating! Wood was very clean and not warped. If good fences make good neighbors, Campbell Fencing Company facilitates loving communities. When we needed to build a fence in our back yard last year, we considered doing it ourselves, but I'm so glad we let the professionals handle it. The new fence and gates look great and are super sturdy.
They were not terribly cheap, but most of the cost was in the materials, and they responded quickly and even cleared away the old falling down fence. If you counted the time and hassle it would have taken for us to do it ourselves, there's no comparison.
