Would never go back. Just tried to go there for a pedicure (with an appointment) to support a local business. I sat with my feet soaking in water for 35 minutes and no one came back. I asked multiple people what was going on and no one could tell me. Eventually, i just got up and left. Wasted a huge part of my day and wasnt even worth the wait. And, not for nothing, but not a clean establishment i would want to go back to anyway.

This has been my go to nail salon for a while. Sarah has been the only nail tech that Ive gone to, for over a year now. She doesnt work as often anymore, and I was desperate to at least get the gel taken off of my nails from the last gel mani I got from a different salon. I also wanted to get my toes repolished because in less than two weeks from my last pedi (from a different salon), my polished was completely chipped. I've been here twice and I don't think I'll come back. I noticed that whenever I call, they often ask me to come immediately. After a few times of this happening, I went down, assuming they must have availability. Instead, they had like four people waiting. The shop is pretty big, and it was PACKED with people.
So they basically told me to come down immediately just to wait around in a jam packed shop so they could make an extra buck, which made it clear to me that they prioritize their dollars over your safety or time.
I won't be returning here.

The quality of work at my usual place has declined over the years, so I've been on the hunt to find a better nail salon for a while now. I've gone to Skylar Nail Spa a couple times before since it's close to my house, but this last visit really sealed the deal for me-- the mani/pedi I got was the best I've had in recent memory!
Their nail techs really pride themselves on doing great work -- they're meticulous and detailed (without being too slow), gentle (no bleeding, yay), and best of all, friendly. Minnie was my manicurist

First time coming I love how friendly everyone is. I was a walk in and was taken right away. Lin did my pedicure and did an AMAZING job. I tend to have pain in my pinky toes from what I thought was a build up of cuticle but it's actually some of my nail that digs into the side of my pinky toe when it's growing back. I've been to a lot of different places that don't get rid of the nail properly like Lin did to Relieve pain in my pinky toes. Definitely recommend her. Even though it isn't that close to my house I will definitely be back to see Lin.

I was hoping for a better experience than I had because this place came recommended.
The accessories bin my nail tech was using read “soiled”. The nail
file and cuticle trimmer did not seem to be disinfected.
I was nervous to have her trim
my cuticles because I was afraid of the potential bacteria I was being exposed to.
The nail brush in the water also seemed very old, and again not disinfected.
I still has to go home and file/clean up the edges around my gel mani because I was catching the rough edges on my clothes. Overall, I hope the mani last for the 9 days of my trip.

I came in for a regular mani/pedi. They had me sit with this older man who I'm 99.9% sure is NOT licensed to do nails. He cut my toenails crooked, didn't do anything with my cuticles, clumped on nail polish and 2 of my toes were BLEEDING before I even left the salon. THEN, when he transitioned to do my manicure, I asked for someone else. I was SO disappointed. I basically paid for him to ruin my toes. Now I am in pain and hoping I don't get an infection. The lady that did my manicure was good but this experience left such a bad impression, I don't think I'll be back.

I got my nails done by My My or Mai. I don't recommend getting the color number 161, it looks better on the example hand then it does on a real hand. The nails are not the same, Mai saw that it didn't look good and all she said was don't get that color next time. Very rude, customer service is wasn't good at all.

The service is amazing! Jerri did an amazing job with my pedicure. She was super attentive and asked if I liked it before moving on to the next steps of my pedicure. I got the regular pedicure which was $23, not bad at all. Skylar is close to my house. I'm happy I found a great nail shop close by!! Definitely would recommend!

Skylar nails is the GRESTEST NAIL SALON I as a man have experienced anywhere throughout So Cal! And there is a reason why the Vietnemese people - most specifically and the women more than the Vietnamese men - per se- within the nail genre' do the best work with both women and men..And this is because in my own opinion- They truly truly care for their clients well being! I wanted a place that was local, but good. After reading several reviews, I decided on Skylar Nail Spa and they did not disappoint. I was a walk in, but I definitely recommend making an appointment because at 11:30am on a Thursday, they were already full with standing room only for those waiting. Nataly was the nail tech that worked on my nails, another young lady on my feet, but I didn't get a chance to get her name because she was off working on someone else by the time my hands were complete. I always see MERCY and she is just incredible! She's so talented and always creates the perfect shape for my nails as well as the design!
And the classic pedicure is such a good deal for $33 and includes callus remover and a sugar scrub, always a must!
I love all the different women who have done by pedicure. You'll get great work no matter who you see!

I was in town for the weekend. My friends and I decided to go here for a pedicure. I got the classic pedicure with callous removal. Let me just say it didn't do anything. The girl barely scrub off my dead skin. After the lotion had settled I realized she's done little to nothing. Also she didn't cut my toe tails properly even in the shop I had to keep begging her to cut them down esp. my baby toe. You can see that my white polish didn't even cover and looks sloppy. The back of my feet still have dead skin. I also got my eyebrows waxed and they look good. My friends pedicures

When I go to this nail shop I normally get gel X when I get the gel ex nails they are normally 60 bucks they never have the tips that I want so they told me if bought the tips myself that I want it I can go ahead and get the fill price for the gel X nails since I provided my own tips! I went to the nail shop today with my own tips and was charged 90 bucks they lied ! I do not and will not ever appreciate a liar I will never go back to this nail shop because of that my nails look okay but I will never go back because she played m out of my money by telling me that it'll be cheaper if I brought

I went to get a full nail set with stickers and designs and all .They broke in less than a week .i tried to give them another shot today and they said they can only vouch they’re nails last less than 2 weeks . Which means they are not a good shop because I’ve had nail sets last at minimum 3 weeks. And no one in there knows how to double tip which is basically making your nails long if you like long nails like me .Dont go there because they are not cheap and it’s not quality work .Stay safe .

I love love this nail salon but they let me down this time. I had an appointment with Vivian but apparently they over booked her or didn't let her know she had a 1230 appt. either way I was fine with anyone in the salon to do my gel manicure because all of the women are very good at what they do. I got my nails done on a Saturday afternoon...5 days later my gel manicure starts to chip and on one nail the gel comes completely off. Usually when I get my nails done here they last for 2-3 weeks with no problem. I spent over $70 for a gel mani and pedi and this has not happen to me before. I guess next

So this is my second time coming to this location and I love it each time. My mother turned 50 and I wanted to get her nails done[ she always does it herself and she needs a little change and treat]. The owner ended up doing her feet and nails and my mother loved it.
this is a very popular place they opened at 10. we got there around 10:15 and it was already a 30 min wait. [ we had time so we waited]. Parking is tricky tho. strict rules in the front of the shop but there is a community parking in the back for all the businesses but its rarely any spaces.

Cindy did a great job on my nails and really tried to get me out on time after I was seated late. I will definitely come back to visit Cindy.
I wish there were appointment only blocks during the day or they had a better system to keep track of appointments. Amy did my nails and she was very kind and she did a great job. However when it was time to cash out my total came to $45. Which is $20 more that what the baseline price is for a full set on their wall ($25). I did not have gel polish, my nails are not that long, and I have a basic shape. Zero designs, regular acrylic, nothing extra. this happens to me whenever I go to an Asian salon. I feel like because I am young and black they may feel like I’m not going to tip them (which I always do). So I ended up spending $51 for a basic full set. Does this happen to anyone else?
