I hired them to help me with my grandmother's estate. I was given a price up front and was told that was it. Then I get a bill for calling and talking with the paralegal . The paralegal tells me she will call me back. She never does. So the lawer may be good but her help stinks. I have been waiting for three weeks for an answer to a question . They have already sent me a bill for asking but They have not answered. I would not do business with them again.

We utilized the Akins & Davenport firm to do a closing on our property in North Georgia. They were very responsive and professional. Sarah Olver was the rep that kept us on track during the process. She did an excellent job on follow up. Daniel Davenport was also very responsive to us with our questions.

I hired Janna Akins to represent me in a divorce in Feb 2018. She accepted 5k retainer. I submitted all requested documents promptly.
There is a time limit to request for discovery and deposition. Fourteen months later no progress was made on the divorce and she had let time limits on discovery and deposition expire. When I found this out I fired her. Of course my retainer and more had been spent with no progress. The only communication that was timely were the invoices. She would also charge for her time when it was paralegal doing the work. So unprofessional. I literally had to start my case

Akins and Davenport provided an amazing service during our time buying our first home. Daniel was a blessing - very responsive, super friendly, took the initiative to explain the closing process to us (this was extremely helpful since this was a brand new experience for my fiancé and I - we never felt left in the dark at any point during our home buying process). Our closing felt like it was just as much of a priority to him as it was to us. Akins and Davenport helped us with a seamless closing. They truly made this the easiest thing for us and completed the process in a timely manner. Janna and Daniel both are helpful in answering questions and explaining legal processes which I found most helpful. They've also been amazing with my grandparents in assisting them. When my husband and I started looking to purchase our first home, we had so many questions regarding the legality of it all. Mrs. Akins was so gracious with her time and answered all of our many, many questions. She even found an issue with our survey and promptly had it taken care of before we had time to worry. I am so appreciative of how she made sure we were keep in the loop, understood what was happening, and made the process as simple as buying a house could be. Critical: Responsiveness
Unfortunately I had high expectations after my initial conversation with someone who would assure me they would get back to me. Almost 3 days later and we haven't heard back. It is possible they are great, we just won't know as they didn't respond. Even if busy a simple voicemail letting us know would have been sufficient.
