I went to just about every glasses place in Austin looking for the right frames, and these guys had it. A nice selection, and nice range of shapes. I found exactly what I wanted, something stylish but understated.
Then I hit my face with the hatchback of a friends car the night before a 3 day workshop. My glasses flew apart! I went in the next morning when they opened, before the workshop started. They got them put back together and saved my weekend.
Every encounter I've had there was pleasant. No pushy or snobby sales people, they take my UT vision insurance, and fantastic service.

Dr. Hutson is an accomplished professional.
Dr. Marshall is an accomplished orofessional.
They are well versed, current, offer good value eyewear and Texas friendly.
If you want eye care, well done, go see Hutson or Marshall. If you want cheap glasses go to the mall or walmart.
I have gone to Austin Visions for 25 years. Always good, everytime.

I went in today for an 11am appointment I made a month ago. They called yesterday and we both confirmed. I arrived more than five minutes early. At 10 minutes after, they brought me back and did a few quick things. Then, I was told the doctor was at least ten minutes away. No apologies or explanation. I asked them to call him to see how long it would be, as this was the middle of my work day and I knew I had an important call coming up. Five minutes later, the guy came back and said it would be at least 15 minutes, if not more...again, no explanation. I told him I had to leave and I thought this

I have gotten several pairs of eye glasses from Austin Vision Center over the years and have always been happy with their service and eyewear. In fact, they adjusted my progressive prescription so expertly that I no longer struggle to read and see what I need to see. Another eyewear place totally goofed up my request. The prices are high, but a long lasting frame from expert technicians is worth it.

This review is for customer service and frame selection. They have the best high end, designer selection in ALL of Austin. How do I know this? Because I searched everywhere for designer frames to fit my small head! They helped me pick a frame and special ordered the color that I wanted. Yay! Fast forward a year and a half...broke my glasses after moving to CA. I called DENNIS and he single-handedly facilitated and arranged for the repair of my frames here in CA...THE SAME DAY. All I had to do is show-up and pay. Need I say more? This is the type of business that you want to stay in business

Our family has been going to Austin Vision Center at Four Points since we moved to Austin back in 2007. Initially we saw Dr. Hutchson and later Dr. Bryan Marshal for the last few years. Dr. Marshall is a great professional, very friendly and knows his stuff. He's also a rare Optometrist who is a Glaucoma expert. My wife has borderline Glaucoma and she gets all the care from Dr. Marshall in AVC, including tests and medicine prescriptions etc. He's very patient and experienced, even if young looking.
They also have a good collection of eye frames (better selection in their Tarry Town office

I come in just to buy contacts, not for an eye exam. I am however, extremely disappointed with the customer service that I have received. Every time I walk in, the staff is very unfriendly and seems unwilling to help. I have never written a negative review before, but something about dealing with this place left horrible taste in my mouth. I can't even believe this place is a business. Why would people willingly return to a place of business where the staff is unfriendly and unwilling to help? I am happily scheduling an appointment at another vision center and will never be going back

I needed an updated prescription for contacts. So I made an appointment at Austin Vision Center. They were able to get me in the same day. Exam took literally 15 mins which was good.
When I done, they said no charge or co-pay. I walked out and realized they failed to give me a written prescription. I wanted a prescription because their price for the contact lenses was $20 a box more than Wal-mart or online. I walked back in and asked for a hardcopy of my prescription. They seemed reluctant to give it to me and then said - oh actually there is a co-pay of $55 which you need to pay

I needed to get an eye exam after having issues passing the eye test for my driver's license renewal. Looking for an optometrist accepting my insurance I chose to see Dr. Mark Hutson at Austin Vision Center. I was very pleased with my choice!
The office is conveniently located just outside of downtown with plenty of parking available. When I called to schedule an appointment I was given one within 3 business days. I had the paperwork that needed to be filled out faxed over to me and faxed it back along with a copy of my insurance card. Check-in on the day of my appointment was very smooth
