The New Rochelle Day Nursery is committed to meeting the individual needs of each child, ensuring that they reach appropriate milestones and become confident and fully prepared students. NRDN accomplishes this while maintaining an inclusive and respectful setting for multiculturalism and diversity.

I have only positive things to say about the center and its staff. They are attentive, kind and really good at what they do. My daughter was always happy at drop off and pick up. The daily breakfast, hot lunch and snacks that the center provides took away a lot of pressure in the mornings, knowing that my daughter would be fed during the day.
Services
The New Rochelle Day Nursery (NRDN) was founded in 1895. We are a private not-for-profit day care center. The NRDN has remained committed to providing quality education at affordable rates to our children and families. Our accomplished educators have an average of fifteen to twenty plus years of experience working with young children.
Hand-ons exploration and social interaction are fostered in a safe and engaging surrounding in order to help your toddler learn about his or her expanding world. Toddlers enjoy learning experiences that promote their blossoming independence and social skills, and that build self-confidence. Our pre-school program is filled with extended opportunities for exploration and discovery.
Donations can also be made by mailing a check made out to The New Rochelle Day Nursery, memo: donation, to the address below. Since 1895, NRDN has provided a safe and nurturing environment for children from New Rochelle and its neighboring communities, regardless of their economic status, race, or religion.

I am a former employee for 4 years.A few weeks ago I left the daycare. I was so unhappy working the last year . The reason is because Ms Dawn Carter the assistant Director is unprofessional and rude. I never felt so disrespected in my life. She yelled at me in front of the employees and made me feel embarrassed at that point . She made me cry .
This is the reason why so many teachers and assistants decided to quit. I know the children deserve a happy teacher and I was not happy any more which is why I left . The teachers are wonderful. I hope she takes some courses about how to treat and talk

My daughter went to New Rochelle day nursery for approximately 2 years. I went through 3 class levels with my daughter, Ms. Nicole, Ms. Tammy and Ms. Allison. The teachers are super amazing. The curriculum is TOP notch. Your child will learn so much and they genuinely care about your child’s interest. They are hands on, in depth, creative and teach with a lot of fun. My daughter enjoyed her classes and learnt so much especially with her pre-k teacher Ms. Allison, she is super amazing! They have freshly prepared meals daily and a great play area. They are strict about their covid protocols so

NRDN has been a wonderful experience for my daughter (and us!) these last 2/3 years. From day #1 I felt confident that my daughter was in a loving, caring, supportive and safe environment. The teachers, assistants, administrative staff and Chef Joe and his team are all so very good at their jobs. Five stars just aren't enough!

We were truly happy with our experience at New Rochelle Day Nursery. So happy that all three of our children attended NRDN. The classroom teachers were loving and nurturing, as well as structured and routined. The front office is professional and efficient, which certainly made our relationship with everyone enjoyable. Most importantly, our boys loved going to NRDN.

This establishment treats their staff/employees with such disrespect. They gossip about employees behind their backs, especially the receptionist, she’s super RUDE! They wonder why every new employee leaves. The children and some staff however, are great. So sad no one cares how the staff is treated, by the bosses. It’s definitely the worst I’ve ever been treated at any job. ( by my superiors)

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Value
This is the best place for working mom. I never worried about their care for 3 years. Also my daughter loved to go everyday. She learned a pot. All teachers and staffs are friendly but also very professional.

I must say , being that the nursery is in New Rochelle it gives it a cover-up. If you are thinking about leaving your child here PLEASE look closely at the conditions the place is in. I used a restroom downstairs that is a DUMP. The rugs of the classrooms are filthy and the playground looks 1,000 years old. The SWING SET area has a sinking hole... I was far from the view too....
The kids are very limited to moving around in certain rooms. MS.DAWN Carter thought speaking fast to me would distract me from observing the filth but the whole building needs to COME DOWN.
The director .. I did not even

I feel so fortunate to have had my son cared for & educated at NRDN the year before he started kindergarten. The staff, teachers, facilities and hours of care were perfect for our son and our family needs. From Clinton Ave this school seems quaint and charming. It is, but it's also so much more! The classrooms are a perfect introduction for pre-k kids to get familiar with an elementary school setting. I loved the full cafeteria with hot lunch, the huge playground including the covered play area! New Rochelle Day Nursury is New Ro's GEM!

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!
My son was in new rochelle day nursery for 3 years. The only reason I kept him in here for so long is because it's one of the only full day programs around and from the outside looking in they seem clean and friendly. If I only knew how money hungry they are and they dont care if they have to hurt a child to get it.
My son was graduating from pre k and they have a moving up ceremony . It was established early on dues will be paid every two weeks. They told me that I needed to pay the whole month in advance or else my son would not be able to participate in the ceremony
