Great Day Family Child Care is a New York State licensed childcare facility with over 15 years of experience. Our convenience and flexibility caters to the various unique schedules of our clients. We provide care and age appropriate activities for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years old. Healthy home cooked food is prepared daily for breakfast, lunch, and snack while abiding to all NYS Health and Safety guidelines.
Services
At Great Day Family Child Care, our infant program focuses on making your child feel at home. We strive to keep your baby happy, engaged, and secure. We will work with you to build a schedule that fits your child's unique schedule, nutritional needs, and any other special attention required for your bundle of joy.
Toddlers learn speech and language development, as we speak and read with them constantly. By giving them simple instruction, asking questions, and involving them in sing alongs they become more engaged in speaking. The physical growth of the child is important as well, and that is why we allow supervised outdoor exploration and dancing.
For preschoolers, we further develop the skills of speech and language, physical growth, socializing, self help, and creativity. We familiarize the children with the alphabet and numbers, as we teach them to spell, read aloud, and to count numbers. They are given the freedom to sing and dance. Allowed supervised time outside for physical activity.

My daughter had been attending Great Day for a few months and we are SO happy with her development. We can see how much love and attention Cynthia and her staff give her and know that she is in very caring and experienced hands. One of my favorite aspects is how flexible and accommodating Cynthia is of our schedule. She is a wonderful caretaker!

Cynthia and staff are all amazing. My husband and I are first time parents and started our daughter there when she was four months old. From the moment we first visited, we knew that Cynthia's warm, gentle, and grounded approach to child care would be a perfect fit for our daughter and for our parenting style. Cynthia has even helped me--an anxiety driven new mom--chill out a bit. Her space is bright, open, and safe, and her hours are extremely flexible. My twins went to Great Day when we first moved to westchester. Ms Cynthia and all the teachers immediately helped me feel at ease with such a big transition. My kiddos loved going to school every day and always greeted their friends and teachers with a hug. I dropped them off every day knowing they’d be loved, safe, cared for and have lots of fun, and was always amazed at the new things they’d learn every day. We will always remember our friends so fondly and the wonderful team at Great Day!

My 18 month old loves Cynthia and Great day Family! She and her team are so natural and engaged with the kids which puts me at ease when we drop him off. We also appreciate the benefits of a stay at home day care: more flexibility on pick-up/drop-off, different aged kids means more enrichment for our son, home cooked lunches. Would recommend it to anyone!

I have sent my children to this daycare for almost 2 years now. My son is about to turn 5 and my daughter is 6. My daughter is only there after school, holiday weeks when the schools are closed and the summer. My son goes to pre-k therefore is with Cynthia in the morning, and then again after school. I've never questioned the children's safety or care while they are with Cynthia and her staff. Cynthia is truly one of the most genuinely nice people I've ever met. She always greets us with a smile and is quick to tell me some anecdote about the children throughout the day. Cynthia has my son ready

My daughter attends Cynthia’s daycare for over a year now. When I first went to visit the first thing that caught my eye was the diversity of the children. Cynthia and her staff are amazing, they treat my daughter as if she were their own. Cynthia is the most kind hearted, nurturing, caring and honest person I have ever come across. I am a grandmother to 6, of which four attend this day care. My girls have tried other day cares and this is by far, the best! Not only is the place immaculately clean, but Miss Cynthia and her staff are lovely people. It is so important for any parent to know that their children are well taken care of; good food, snacks and proper hygiene, but also having a fun time with crafts, reading time and year round outdoor play time. The staff are loving and kind and treat the children with respect and discipline which is most important in creating a healthy and happy atmosphere for all.

We LOVE this daycare!! Both of my kids attend Monday - Friday 8 - 5:30. Cynthia & staff are wonderful with the children & my kids love to be there. They are outside in her big yard as much as possible. All of the children seem to get along great & they love the staff. The house is comfy & clean & the kids seem extremely at ease. I would recommend & have recommended this daycare!!
