Dr. Vasdev Rai has performed more than 25,000 cosmetic surgeries over his more than 30 years in practice as a Dallas plastic surgeon. He is a board-certified plastic surgeon who was first certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1983. Dr. Rai is Chief of Plastic Surgery at Medical City Dallas Hospital.
Dr. Surjit Rai was born and raised in Plano, Texas. Being the son of a plastic surgeon, Dr. Rai had the unique opportunity to see first-hand the impact a plastic surgeon can have. He knew at a young age that he would dedicate his life and academic career towards the goal of becoming a plastic surgeon.

I went to Dr. Rai and his team for a procedure and it was a wonderful experience. They made me feel comfortable the entire time, told me what to expect, and called to check up on me multiple times after I came home. When I thought I had a problem, (even on a Sunday night) Dr. Rai called me to let me know I was ok and it was a normal thing to experience! I’m so happy I went with Dr. Rai as opposed to someone else. I feel that he genuinely cares about his patients and loves what he does. Plus their office is beautiful! If you are wanting something done, he’s definitely the one I’d choose!

I went in for a consultation, the staff was very nice.
when i met the Doctor (the dad) i was not able to finish asking my questions without being interrupted he seemed annoyed that i was asking questions at all. he is very limited in what he offers in terms of implant type and actual implant placement.
i felt very uncomfortable the entire time. i believe he is probably very skilled at what he does do, but i needed more options and more of a repour with a person who was going to potentially operate on me. oh and if you know anyone who needs and ex-plant done, his son performs those almost exclusively

Dr Rai and his is whole staff are one of a kind. I felt so comfortable and reassured throughout the whole process. They removed my implants and I haven’t felt this good in years! Dr. Rai has given me back confidence and shed light into my life. After so much darkness within the last two years of my life, I am able to feel more hopeful for years to come.
I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at age 25, resulting in a very unsightly up and down scar on my abdomen. It spanned from above my belly button all the way down. Even my poor belly button didn't look the same after massive life saving surgery.
After surviving surgery and the difficult chemo after, all I could do was cover-up/hide the scars that painfully triggered the anxiety and darkness with cancer treatments

My identity was stolen and used to purchase a $5440 procedure performed by Dr Rai. Dr. Rai has repeatedly refused to speak to the detective investigating my case. My guess is that if he was the one being affected by this he would immediately speak with the police but as long as he received payment it doesn't matter where it came from. I can't speak for his surgical abilities but he is definitely unethical and not to be trusted.

Dr. Rai is amazing! I consulted with 3 other top DFW cosmetic surgeons. I felt at ease upon meeting Dr. Rai. His plan was one of the most conservative of all the consults and I couldn't be more pleased with my result! I had a full tummy tuck with muscle repair and liposuction. Dr. Rai is truly an artist. He is warm, caring and genuine.

Amazing! I have wanted to fix my nose for years. I am Spanish, Native American, and French so my nose to say the least was not a favorite part of my body. I researched many doctors in DFW and found Dr. Rai in Dallas Magazine. My wait time to see him was relatively short and the added bonus was the consultation was free. My welcome to his office was very warm. Dr. Rai was very professional and listened to all my concerns from my first appointment to my follow-ups. His bedside manner is excellent.
